  1. The Truck Series usually has the best races.
  2. Texas Motor Speedway Is a Disaster and the Next Gen Car at the NASCAR All-Star Race Didn't Help Matters (sportscasting.com) Another point of view.
  3. Big shout out to Jaden Edmond on his impressive showing for his first sportmod night!
  4. And I saw today Larson wants to race the Indy 500 soon.
  5. I misunderstood. This is how NASCAR races now. Agreed.
  6. I haven't seen wreck and run yet this year. I must be going to the wrong tracks.
  7. One would think. But so far South Texas Race Ranch has been near or over 100 cars. I-37 had over 100 last race. Texana just a little under that. Cotton Bowl and 105 have been doing well. But it may catch up soon.
  8. NASCAR will never stop or fine drivers for stuff like the above mentioned. Races that run without this drama don't get much press time. As for Logano he has a long history of "aggressive" driving. And it seems it is NEVER his fault or unprovoked. But the fans love it.
  9. I wonder where that money is now?
  10. As a fan when I saw they were going to a single file restart I wasn't too thrilled about it. I see the reasoning behind it as it has dramatically reduced damaged race cars and multiple tries at restarting side by side . I say we compromise by keeping single file and getting rid of the cone and see how that goes.
  11. Went to the Texana Raceway Park event April 29 and saw some great racing , good car counts and big crowd especially for a Friday night. Then the event at the South Texas Race Ranch to more of the same. While at the Race Ranch a friend showed me a live shot at I-37 the same night and it was more of the same. Things are off to a great start for the South Texas race tracks. Thank you to the promoters and the race teams.

  13. Announced there will be Bristol Dirt in 2023. No date yet.
  14. I saw the last 100 laps and that part was good racing. Funny the one who bitched the most ended up winning! Best ratings for spring race since 2016. Interesting. Bristol for me hasn't been the same since they knocked the banking down.
  15. Looks like it will be back...........NASCAR Reveals TV Ratings For Sunday’s Dirt Race (msn.com)
  16. Great night at the Race Ranch! 101 entries . E-Mod race best of night to me due to the racing by Nathan Titzman. Racing side by side with Jaden Edmond lap after lap without contact or minimal at best. Hats of to Mr.Edmond as well. Great job by all involved at the Race Ranch and the race teams. After two events it seems South Texas Race Ranch is the place you want to be on race night in 2022.
  17. From what I saw the race was less boring than some. Did watch the Truck race which I thought was a good one. For that matter the trucks are better most of the time. Interesting that the driver that whined the most ended up winning. But NASCAR is really an asphalt series. Nice try but leave the dirt to the dirt pros.
  18. Big crowd, packed pits, great racing and a tsunami of kids for the egg hunt made for a fun night at the Race Ranch. April 30 should be another great night.
  19. I don't know how far back you are going about wrecking the wrecker. I've seen it many times years ago. But attitudes have changed a lot since then. Do that now and you could have a gun fight in the pits.Besides if you intentionally start wrecking him you are not much different than he. I've read a few accounts of bats , jack handles and helmets being used instead in recent years. If it is one guy that is the problem just ban him. Get rid of the one gain three or four. I've seen this done recently and yes it takes a strong promoter to do it.Another reason I couldn't be one.
  20. It is tough enough already without the weather making it harder.
  21. It is a bad idea for NASCAR in particular. As for watching I will probably follow what I do for the other NASCAR races except for Daytona and Talladega. Catch the last 40 laps.
  22. As a fan a 14 car feature is the least I hope for. Don't get me wrong a full field of 24 is better most of the time. There are many times a 12-14 car field puts on a better race with less yellows and crashing. Nothing is worse than calling a 20 lap feature after 12 laps. Fortunately that doesn't happen often at the South Texas tracks. I suppot my home track in Corpus almost every event and go to I-37 and Texana as much as I can because the promoters and racers deliver and have for sometime. I'd go to Cotton Bowl more often if it wasn't so far away. So South Texas promoters keep up the good work!
  23. I agree as well. At first I though NASCAR on dirt would be good. But no. Now the truck race at Eldora is a good race.
