In a short amount of time Jared Maupin has built quite a resume. And not only in one class. I've seen a lot of races and I'll say it now. Maupin will be the next big thing from Texas if he wants to be.The number 91 will be with the numbers 89 and 87 in Texas racing elites.

Of all the races I've seen lap cutting doesn't happen very often. I have to say most of the ones they cut fans were begging to end it so we could move on to the next race! Race Ranch started the season with single file restarts and I hated them. Lately they have gone back to double file unless they can't get started after two tries. Much better.

I've never been there but check myracepass on them weekly. They do have good car counts and quite a few big events. One thing I have noticed is there are a ton of feature DNF's every week . Why is that?

Cash cow for NASCAR. If TV ratings or attendance starts to dive again it will be harder for teams to find sponsors. Sponsors want ratings and attendance for their business to be seen or the bigger ones go away. Things are good now and we all hope it stays that way.

I watched it like I do most NASCAR Cup races , the last 20-30 laps. Will watch all of Talledega and Daytona.

I remember when a Street Stock competitor showed up and got claimed. He turned around and claimed every car in the class! Claim rule died that night.

Looks like the Greenville Tx track had a great opening with 101 cars in 5 classes on July 1 and 172 in 6 classes on July3. GREAT start!

Second most watched NASCAR event behind only the Daytona 500. Ratings success? Check. It was announced during the race that 75% of the fans there it was their first NASCAR race. New fans? Maybe. Let's see if NASCAR gets a bump on the events the rest of the year. But it leans towards yes. The real test will be if they sustain the interest the next two years. Kevin Harvick had an interesting take. He said they should do Chicago say every two years to build up excitement for the next Chicago event.In place of the Chicago event they could go race in Canada or Mexico and test the International market. Overall I thought it was a big success given all the weather. As for all the crashes and spins Chase Elliot said the guy that won probably went home telling how bad NASCAR road racers were!

Words like warrior and courageous are used a lot to describe a lot people. Children who face stuff like this many times with a smile are some of the most of all.

Yes you do! I want to get back there myself soon. The usually have 100+ cars with mostly five classes. It is a multi groove track and they don't waist time. Mainly because they have to be done by 11 PM. We better go soon from what I understand the track is on a year to year basis. What my son and I did one year was go to Heart O Texas on Friday night and spent two nights in Waco. On Saturday night went to Kennedale (a little over an hour) and back to Waco and went back to Corpus Sunday morning .Great weekend all around except for the heat(went in July). When we got to both tracks it was over100! Cooled down nicely at night though.This is a great way to watch racing as these tracks put on a great show with good car counts. Check their schedules and pick a weekend!
