Congrats Marcus! Not only did he win he dominated over a strong field of teams.

A few drivers have said the Next-Gen car doesn't cushion crashes like the old car did. Quite a few have said after a crash it was the hardest hit they have taken more this year than in the past.

I respectfully disagree. Especially at the high speed ,tight pack tracks like Daytona and Talladega. NASCAR has some of the best radar technology. They could see how very close the rain was to the track. You have to err in favor of safety and they didn't do that. If they threw the yellow this accident would not had happened and would had been a much better race if they were able to restart. With the 47 car being tossed around as it was it could had been much worse.

Very impressive weekend for Mr. Larson. Wonder how interesting the Hendrick team meeting is going to be. In my opinion Larson did nothing wrong.Elliott should not had taken the outside on the restart. I think NASCAR should throw the yellow with five laps to go at every race except Daytona and Talladega. Can you imagine?

Especially with all the competition in that area.

Agreed , HiTech. I haven't seen a good fight at a race track since the mid-80's. I guess that is a good thing. I heard a promoter once said if you are going to fight do it where the fans can see.

I'm so sorry this happen for all the people who put in so much time, exspense and effort into this. At least you gave it your best shot on a tough task. Hopefully you will be rewarded somewhere down the line.

Still another great night of racing at the Race Ranch! Lots of three wide racing and very few yellows. Great job by all the drivers. Is there anyone hotter around here than Jared Maupin? First in Factory Stocks and Modifieds and a 3rd from 9th in Sportmods. He keeps this up and the old bounty may be put on him ! Great car counts and even with karts at intermission races were done just past 10 PM. That is the way to get it done! We South Texas races fans have been treated to some great racing this season so far. Continue to support not only your home track but the ones near by as well when you can.

A lot of DNF's especially in Factory Stocks

Not only did the race pay big but at one point 50/50 was at $76,000 gunning for$100,000!!!

That modified feature was the best mod feature I've ever seen ! Four tips of the hat and a standing O to Jared Maupin , Ryan Doyon , Chris Carroll and Rick Green for some incredible 3 and and 4 , yes 4, wide CLEAN racing. And multiple tips of the hat to Jared Maupin ,Dalton Faulkner and Johhny Torres for hard , CLEAN racing in Factory Stock. Track prep crew deserves accolades as well. Great night of racing!

I hope so this time. Houston had two big money events one for late models and one for trucks. Believe they had 10 or so late models and 16 or so trucks with most of those local. The folks at GCRS deserve better than that given the hard work and effort they put in. Hopefully they get it.
