The South Texas Nationals is our first monster event and the interest/participation will determine what classes continue to run in future events so lets make it a big one. The Nationals at Goliad will determine what classes get invited for the next event. So participation is pretty important. SouthTxPromotions Posted March 9, 2015 Author Report Share Posted March 9, 2015 We have answered some questions in regards to Factory Stocks interested in racing since so many are rained out or not racing yet further north of us. Â Factory Stocks must weight a min. of 3350 lbs. You must run stock exhaust manifolds and stock intake manifolds. 53% rear weight will be the class rule. You must run cast pistons, stock crank and connecting rods. Must run stock steel roof and must be stock in appearance overall. Must pull 14 inches of vacuum at 1200 rpm and max. cam lift is .450 total lift including rocker arm. These rules will be enforced. We are not changing the Pure Stock rules in place only making a consulation to allow cars very close in rule package to come participate. Â STP at 41 cars will pay $2,000.00 to win and pay $125 to start instead of $100. Goal is 41 cars. Both groups should mix together nicely with changes the factory stocks will have to undergo.
