  1. After watching the Netflix special about Bubba, his issue is with his father. He has a lot of anger deep down inside for what his father did to him and his family. That to me is what gets in Bubba's way. If he could work through his this issue and get past it or some sort of closure on it you would see a completely different Bubba Wallace in my opinion. You for sure would see a more consistent better race car driver. I will say that also after watching this special he didn't really want all this attention, he didn't want what all of you complain about. To me this was forced on him by others because of who he is in the sport he is in.
  2. The thing that bugs me about this is to me it looks like a racing deal. Bubba didn't feel that way ok. Kyle even said Bubba had every right to be mad. Where I have the issue is with these cars and the safety issues they have been having to right rear someone and send them spinning across the track and luckily he tagged Bell or he would of hit flush with the wall on the drivers side. His own team mate just retired the day before because of crashing this car. Its not so much the shoving that got me it was the wrecking part. The only thing I question is if this would of been any other driver would we be having this discussion?
  3. So this happened Saturday night at the Battle on the Border at Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kansas. This was during OCRS heat race 3. Lane Goodman got over the right rear of Travis Ashwood at the start of the race and took a ride then a bath. He said the car landed on its side in the water but they also mentioned before the car came to a stop people were already in the water swimming that direction. The driver is a little sore but doing good. Now for context that i put a picture of where the car started flipping to where it landed and it traveled some distance. The hill in turn 1 is also has about a 10-15 high ledge on top of the hill that he cleared as well. The last picture is our right rear that had 40 laps on it after the feature on a rubbered down track. We finished 4th and every one in the top 5 in tech looked this way.
  4. I agree, i have heard it for years but just seems it has picked up steam the past couple of days compared to previous.
  5. Has anyone heard about Devil's Bowl closing? I heard this weekend from one person but shrugged it off but have seen and heard this more and more today.
  6. Yeah but without those "big names" no one would go watch the show. Just like when the legends would race during the show not very many people would go watch during the day and those races were free to watch. Its during the NASCAR race and you have to cater to the NASCAR fans. No nascar fans know who Jett Nunley, Jeffrey Newell, Trey Marcham, Isiah Garcia, Frank Flud, Kyle Jones and many others are. Guarantee though after this race they will know who these guys are. Bad thing is you wont get many west coast racers for this because you have the Mark Hagopian Memorial going on that is a $5000 to win 50 lapper in California.
  7. Just got back this weekend from running the Hockett/McMillin Memorial and I must say if you have never been to Lucas Oil Speedway you need to put that track on your list. We had 78 ASCS Winged Sprint Cars on the property and 61 Powri War Non Wing Sprints on the property. The races started all 3 nights by 6 and were done very close to 10:30 every night. On Thursday and Friday ASCS each had 8 heat races/qualifying groups, 4 B-Mains and the A Feature, The Powri Group each night had 4 heat races/qualifying groups, a b main and their a feature. Saturday nights ASCS had 4 LCQ's then 4 Bmains and then the A main and the Powri Series did basically the same. Even with having to rework the track multiple times we were still done at a reasonable time. The Speedway itself is amazing all paved parking areas, the drag boat lake, the utv course, the racetrack, then they have working 4 stall car wash thats just like a regular car wash. Showers on the premises and a huge campground that if you go back one of the areas that doesnt have any water or power it is free to stay there. So put this track on your list it is a sight to see. Oh and the whole property that the race facility is on is bigger than the proper area of Wheatland Missouri.
  8. Check out this car that wrecked this weekend up here at Salina High Banks Speedway in Salina Oklahoma. The guy is ok, i saw the video he got pinched into the back stretch walk and got airborne and came down on to the ground directly onto the roof. This car runs the pure stock class.
  9. The truck series is a joke, this happens every week. They need to take the truck series back to short tracks where it started. Majority of the stuff that has happened with Deegan this year is not over her doing but simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I do feel bad for her with her team as well to me being teamed up with the Gray's. As long as she is with DGR and Tanner Gray is her teammate and Taylor Gray coming up they are going to get the better product since their family is funneling money into DGR. That was the same thing that happened when they were running pro stock in NHRA.
  10. This is very interesting as I didnt realize this happened and I only got to watch a little bit of the race. I wonder if this could be the reason for some of his lackluster performances this year, yes he has had car issues but how many of those could have been prevented. Also anyone find it interesting that ever since Tony Stewart starting in with Leah that his NASCAR teams have been virtually non existent. Could the NHRA deal be distracting or could the rumor of Dodge coming back be tied in with Tony and Ford is not wanting to help as much?
  11. Well this weekend the roughness continued, started 9th in the feature got to 3rd and 2nd spins right in front of us with no where to go we pop a Right Rear (which are like gold right now) and bend a bird cage. The car was on rails and the fastest car on the track then another DNF. It looks good on paper because we have had good heat races which help us with points; Seven races and 9th, 12th, 2nd, 19th, 13th, 1st, 18th 3 DNF's a blown motor, and a messed up rear axle.
  12. trust me Nick I notice it all the time. Sometimes I have to do double takes
  13. Been a rough start to the season chasing motor issues but a never give up attitude, great team work we hopefully have turned the tables on our race season. We are only 6 races into the 26 race season but we are 3rd in OCRS Points, Tied for 3rd in IMCA National Points and Leading Oklahoma in IMCA Points. Our Next race is this weekend at Creek County Speedway
  14. This was my view of the races Friday and Saturday night as we were racing in Meeker, OK. The races looked like they were damn good races and the track was in great shape. Sheldon showed the Haud line all Friday night. I was talking very highly of the facility, the crew and Mary Ann and H to a lot of people this weekend as they were asking me about the track. I told them hands down that track has one of the best promoters in the state. She cares about the racers, crews and the fans. Great job Cotton Bowl now book in some ASCS Shows so we can come down there and run.

    NASCAR

That race Sunday even my wife holding her breath watching the race and she doesn't really like watching the cup races.
  16. I moved to Oklahoma last year in March and started working with a OCRS and ASCS Team up here. Our first race is next weekend at Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, OK with the Oil Capital Racing Series. I have to say racing up here in Oklahoma is on another level nothing against Texas racing we have 11 tracks we are racing at with 7 of those all within an 1.5 hours of Tulsa. The farthest we will travel is to Eldon Missouri to run at Lake Ozark Speedway. Last year we finished 3rd in points after missing a couple races with some motor issues. The ASCS Car we will run select Sooner Region and ASCS National Races.
  17. By listening to the podcasts I have listened to that involve people in the industry a lot of them wish they were going somewhere else other than Texas. Not because they don't like going to Texas its just that they know the race will be boring. I totally agree that the all-star was a bone for Eddie, he was the one that constantly said he would not give up a race for one to go to COTA. Now this new car could change things up and the place be racey again but I doubt it.
  18. I heard an interesting take on the Door Bumper Clear podcast yesterday. They stated that people who had a didnt like the race or show their mind was made up before the race ever happened and their mind would not be changed. If you look at what Nascar did just for this race and was able to accomplish is pretty impressive. They spent a lot of money on this show just to have a track built that two weeks from the race date will be gone. If anything what this race showed nascar is that they need more short tracks and that the fans really enjoyed it. This could usher in races to South Boston, Hickory, Irwindale, Pensacola. We already know that they want to go back to Nashville and SMI and the state of North Carolina are pumping a lot of money in North Wilkesboro cleaning it up and renovating the property with plans to bring a race back to the track. The rumor is they also want to venture back to Rockingham. With the new television deal coming I think we are on the verge of big changes. One play you will see changes is TMS with Eddie Gossage no longer at TMS you will see things change there as he was one of the big reasons they still had the two races.
  19. I finally got to watch the race late last night. I missed all the heat races and lcq's. But for what I saw I thought it was great. To see Justin Haley running in the top 4 until the trans-axle broke was pretty impressive. Watching the qualifying was great and to see some people from the lower funded teams running towards the top was a nice change. There was a lot of people in the stands come main even time, and a i would guarantee there was a lot of people in those stands who had never been to a nascar race that are now hooked. That race is what NASCAR needs more of and the fans got their monies worth.
  20. I dont know if you follow him or not but follow along with Walkapedia. Someone put up a video of him the other day doing live updates during the shootout and it was pretty impressive and fast.
  21. No disrespect taken and I am in no way trying to start rumors or chaos. I had seen that about hmp on a drag racing page (no surprise they were wrong) and hadn't seen much from it on social media. Now maybe i am not following the right pages to see that. In my personal vision it just seemed like MIS was getting more race than HMP. That is good to hear, I had someone asking me about doing some asphalt racing and i mentioned to them that there is only 1 track in Texas and I hadn't seen much lately on it. I will pass the message on to them.
  22. Ok I have heard Monarch, 82, RPM all for sure Question marks for STS, ACM, Boyd, HMP I know Boyd was closed most of the season and reopened late from what I read. HMP I heard was just going to be a drag strip. I also have been seeing where Lone Star was purchased by an investment group and they are going to reopen in 2022 but haven't seen a schedule yet and the series I know have run in the past have not shown up on their schedules
  23. So after all the news this weekend what all tracks have decided to not reopen in 2022?
  24. I'm really liking this schedule this year looks like we will be able to run more national series races as well as the Sooner Series and OCRS.
  25. I'm trying to figure out how someone can not like Larson. Chili Bowl Champion, Knoxville Nationals Champion, Kings Royal Champion, Prairie Dirt Classic Champion, All Star Race Winner, 10 Cup Wins, Nascar Champion. I mean you are seeing something right now that you will probably never witness again. An why is it every time something like this happens you conspiracy people have to come out and say the stuff you do? Give it a rest if you think NASCAR is nothing but one big conspiracy just move on to another sport and quit watching.
