  1. I disagree with this statement. Look at drivers like, Rico Abreu, Swindell Speedlab, Tanner Holmes, Ashley Afdahl, Jade Avedisian, Taylor Reimer and there is many more. They are influencers on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. These drivers are not spending more to be an influencer, they are pulling in more. Three to four years ago you would never of heard who Tanner Holmes was. Now look at him, dude spent half the season last year running on the World of Outlaws thanks to him being seen on TikTok. He chronicles everything about his racing career and gives behind the scenes video. Ashley Afdahl does the same thing and she is a Micro racer. I follow all of these racers and its neat to see the content they produce. These people are are able to get their product out to thousands of viewers and then sell the product they are pushing. My cousin in law and her husband are both influencers within the Schoolie Community(converted school buses into RV's and homes) I had a in depth conversation with them both in January about this to help promote my sons racing career. He told me about the financial side that you can obtain from having the followers and the pay you receive from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube. He also told me about how companies will rear out to you and give you product to try and promote. They will give you the discount codes that people can order from them with your code and then you end of receiving something back in return for it. The days of car shows and events like that are going by the wayside and on online marketing has a far greater outreach to the public.
  2. I was looking forward to getting the race season started this weekend and getting to see some old friends, but that's not gonna happen. I hope this is figured out by the race in 2 weeks at RPM. Lot of people spent a lot of money this off season to make the switch to the national tour to just get shit on (sorry for my language). We had a 4th car built and picked up 1 new motor and have another being finished, plus all of the tires we had already purchased. Then there is people like Owen who I know spent a lot promoting and getting ready for this weekend. Plus I know there is a few drivers that are still owed a pretty penny of cash.
  3. Just to answer a couple questions: The Funny car vs Dragster matchups were set by the cars that did not qualify for the Shootout. I think they only took the Top 8 in qualifying. Austin Prock's Top Fuel car was already parked for the season as it did not have the funding. But if I'm not mistaken the cool thing is the Crew Chief is his dad and the Car Chief or Head Tuner is his Brother. They have lowered nitro percentages, took timing, they have done downforce, blower overdrive, rev limiters and these teams still figure out how to go faster with all of it. This is when I wish dad was still around because he had alot of inside information on this issue directly. He had a lot of conversations with a bunch of the top teams crew chiefs and head tuners about this exact subject. He would discuss the track prep with them very thoroughly to understand what he was doing to the track that would help them achieve numbers they were wanting to get.
  4. 3 of the chassis are 2023 year model Triple X Chassis with one being a 2024. Everything that goes on every car is the same. All rear ends, arms, shocks, front suspension and arms, hubs and pumps are all the same on every car. All the spares in the trailer and mule are the same thing. Only thing that will be different is the engines and specifics for that engine. One car will have a Myers Racing Engines 305, The other car will have a Myer's Racing Engine 360. One is the spare car that goes in the trailer, and one will be ready to go at the shop. There will be another Myer's Racing Engine 305 and 360 and Wesmar 360 in the trailer ready to go.
  5. He mentioned on the Dale Jr Download earlier this year she was hinting at wanting to be a mom so I'm not to surprised by this announcement.
  6. Prepping and Building Cars for the 2024 ASCS National Tour Season
  7. 4/19 date on High Limit went to Southern Oklahoma Speedway
  8. If you are a sprint car fan you are in luck next year. Lots of big 410 shows in Texas / Oklahoma Region. ASCS 360 National Tour hasn't released there's yet but I'm hearing the first 3 weekends of National Tour races are South Texas Race Ranch and RPM Speedway those are known and the other I am hearing is TMS Dirt Track as the other weekend. I think it is awesome to see Sprint car racing blowing and going again in these 2 states on this level. Lets not also forget that the World of Outlaw Latemodels also will be going to Arrowhead Raceway and Rocket Raceway in 2024. High Limit Sprint Cars 4/13 TMS 4/14 RPM Speedway 4/16 Red Dirt Raceway Meeker Ok (1 hr 15 mins southwest of Tulsa) 4/19 Southern Oklahoma Speedway Ardmore, Ok 4/20 Salina High Banks Salina Ok (45 minutes east of Tulsa) 10/11 TMS World of Outlaws Sprint Cars 3/8-3/9 Kennedale Speedway Park 3/15-3/16 Cotton Bowl Speedway 3/22 Big O Speedway 3/23 Lawton Speedway Lawton OK 3/29 Thunderbird Speedway Muskogee, OK (45 mins south of Tulsa) 4/6 Arrowhead Raceway Colcord, OK (1 Hour east of Tulsa)
  9. Well it all starts now, We picked up a quarter midget yesterday while we were in Austin. We are going to go through the car completely and he will be able to start practicing legally this time next year in the mean time once its ready it will be parking lot time. He is going to race up here in the Tulsa Quarter Midget Association.
  10. Just saw on Facebook that the ASCS National Tour is starting their National Points paying season at South Texas Race Ranch March 1-2.
  11. By the post I saw this morning on Facebook by Lanny Edwards looks as if this is the last season for Devils Bowl.
  12. Pocono Proof it was a bigger deal. first photo is from 2019 and second phot is from this past weekend
  13. I think its funny we want to call out the covered seats. If anything those are the best seats to cover. If they have 50,000 seats and they sell all those seats then its a sell out. It doesn't matter how many are covered. This is happening in a lot of sports where seats are being covered because they can sell more advertising in those areas. Everyone has stated that is the most campers they have seen in the infield in a while. Jeff Gluck's poll was 81.1% that the race was good. I watched it and I thought it was good. Yeah its not the beating banging side by side we all want but this race is and will always be a fuel mileage race and that brings a different quality to the race. When will people give credit where credit is due. The series has been getting better and when they figure out the short track package it will make the racing that much better. All we want to on this website is bash NASCAR and call them out for dumb things when the sport is actually progressing again. The rise in NASCAR popularity is bringing interest into other racing areas now. Believe it or not there is Kyle Larson fan that don't realize he races the sprint cars and late models and when mentions that it brings interest into that area of racing. People don't realize that Tony Stewart drives an A Fuel dragster in NHRA but when he talks about it on air it brings interest into NHRA. The talk of Kyle running Indy next year has brought interest into Indy car. Door Bumper Clear which is a podcast by NASCAR Spotters is sponsored by Dirt Vision their show is aired on DirtVision they spend a good amount of time every week talking about dirt racing which brings interest from non dirt racing fans into the sport. Before you say they do that because of their sponsor I will tell you no they have talked about dirt racing way before that. Their host is Casey Boat which is Chad Boat's wife and she talks about midget and micro racing all the time and is always promoting Millbridge. When it comes down to it all getting on this website and blasting nascar the way some of yall do is no different than the people that get on facebook and blast a track or series. Yall dont like it when people do that for a local track so why is it ok to do that for a national series that if it wasnt for that national series there would be no interest in your local track.
  14. I will say if you listen to his podcast he has made mention many times that Kyle will make that same move (literally mentioned it in last weeks episode) and will pinch the outside car off and he basically expects you to lift kind of like what they do in the dirt world. Denny used his move against him and Kyle chose to stay in it just like most dirt racers of his caliber will do. The deal with Bowman most people when they get home will see that Denny had nothing to do with that and that he lost it in the middle of the corner. Yes I will agree Denny will complain and be a whiner but in this case he used Kyle's move against him.
  15. The booing is partly for the way he used up the 5 but i think more of it has to do with the no caution thrown until the white was out.
  16. Don't get me started on 1/4 midgets. I ran them for years and we did it on a budget and we were good and competitive without cheating. I am trying to find a good starter car for my son that i can go through first before he starts making laps and everyone wants 3500 to 5000 for a car and a car that is multiple years old. I don't really care how many championships the car has won or who drove it that doesn't mean my kid is going to be an automatic contender but there are parents that believe that BS that if they buy that car they are automatically going to be a winner. I'm to the point where I am going to buy a junior sprint since he can start racing at 6 in that and i can get a bigger car with the same motor and start racing dirt right away.
  17. If your worried about illegal parts then tech. I've been to to many race tracks and there is hardly any tech done or if they do tech its the same stuff every week or it gets out ahead of time that what is being teched so then the possible offenders can change what is possibly illegal. There is a away to possibly keep people legit. Every week there is a list of items that can be teched like a list of 20 items numbered 1-20 and every week that list changes and some things are taken off and others added but make multiple lists numbered 1-5. These lists are kept secret from the racers. Before cars roll out for the first feature of the night the pole sitter pulls a chip. That chip number is relayed to the tech man. If you tech the top 5 when the top 5 is brought to tech from the scales the top 5 drivers pull a chip with a number on it. That number corresponds to a item number on the list and those 5 items are tech. You are keeping it random and everyone on their toes and there is no chance for anyone to change anything up. I know it sounds like a lot of work but if you want to keep your racers honest this is the way to do it. This will also keep from having the tech man or anyone trying to tip their buddies off on what's going to be teched this week. We had this issue last year where there was a car that was running up front on regular basis that never ran up front, but when the car was in staging running your eyes and nose would be burning and you could tell they were running M5 instead of alcohol. People complained about fuel not being checked then all of sudden fuel is checked at a race that was supposed to be a "random" check but this said car didnt run in the top 5 and his fuel wouldn't burn you nostrils like before. After a couple races of lackluster performance fuel stopped being checked and his car went back to running up front. The tech man/director was good buddies with this driver.
  18. I attached a video of us from earlier this year swapping our cars out. We ran on a Friday night in our 305 car and then ran Saturday with our ASCS 360. In total it took us about 30 minutes to do the swap but this is condensed down to 2 minutes. We weren't hustling as fast as we needed to because it wasn't a rush. On our mule we have everything we need. Depending on the race we will have a spare front axle that is already assembled with radius rods and wheel attached on the left hand side. The rear axle bird cages are fully assembled with a torsion arm, radius rod and shock. That way you are literally removing the wheel and three bolts and the assembly comes off in one piece. The front axle when removing is 6 bolts if the shocks are staying on the car. We carry spare nose wings with all the mounts already on them. Same thing goes for the top wing as well. Like I mentioned it really depends on the race as to whether we will carry all of those items ready to go. When we were chasing points very heavy last year we carried these items. This year we are running where we want so we might have some spare tires but not so much, now if we go to a high paying race then yes we will load it up. I attached a photo of the interior of our old trailer with the spare in it. https://youtu.be/6ZUB89CZEdI
  19. Why are we still claiming stuff? I don't know what the claim fee is but I guarantee it does not cover the cost of those shocks and it makes total sense why he wouldn't give them up. He saved more money by taking the dq than giving up the shocks with what would of cost to replace.
  20. I will say this take the weather out of the situation and it be a dry racetrack you don't have all the wrecks that they have. 95% of those wrecks were due to the road being wet and not having traction. The main one I saw that was driver error was Austin Dillon hit the inside wall in the turn, like Chase did on Saturday. You could see it during the end of the race Haley would run one groove and be fine come around the next lap and miss it by about a foot and the car would start acting funny and twitching.
  21. While I will agree there is sometimes he brings things on his self to stay relevant and uses the "poor me" tactic after some races when he should be excited for what he has done. Heck even Denny has said he shouldn't be saying some of those things. This is one of those times where I think he has a right to speak out and say hey what's up with this, why is it one way for me but everyone else is ok. He has said it himself multiple times because who he is in the sport he is in there is more eyes on him than someone else so they can point out the issue. Case in point after Sundays race you had the deal between Chase Briscoe and Daniel Suarez no one knows what was really going on or why what happened happened, but nothing has been really been said about it much after. But change either one of those drivers out with Bubba and it would of been front page news and all over twitter and race pages and we would be arguing over that deal because the media would of ran with it.
  22. So do you understand why Bubba is saying there is a double standard in NASCAR? This all stems from Bubba flipping the bird to a friend that was off camera. It wasn't pointed a Jamie Little or anyone else. No different than what most of us do on a daily basis to our friends. His double standard comment comes from the fact that he did it and it was seen then everyone else goes on a rant saying he should be suspended or fined for making this action. Then you have an instance where Chase Elliott stands on the front stretch and flips off Kyle Busch and that is celebrated and awesome. Other drivers have stood there and flipped another driver off and its no big deal heck the tv networks even will show a replay of a driver sticking his hand out the window to flip another driver off and nothing is said. Bubba does it and the world loses their mind. Bubba finished 2nd in that race if he would of finished 15th you would of never seen it. So do I think there is a double standard in NASCAR yes there is very much. Educate yourself into what is being stated and understand why the stance is being said.
  23. I don't think thug is the proper term for it. He didn't act "thug" like the thugs I think of. I would like to think "creative genius"
  24. I dont know about that but he sure is a heck of a video editor
