  1. I'm still amazed from the race Sunday how all the people that don't watch NASCAR saw Wallace flip the bird. Shit I watch closely and missed it.
  2. Best post of the day, dead on. Was telling a guy last night... problem is this car handles to well. I do remember at NW winners have one by 2-3 laps.
  3. man Ron my man I agree!!! Will be interesting to see what happens I bet the Thursday "off" day is a "maint" day for sure.
  4. Full day Weds after the ASA rain out and CARS Tour with a shit ton of cars. Y'all watching or boycotting?
  5. Ross throwing a punch only made it better, Everyone is mad but won't approach him. Sounds like the keyboard warriors.
  6. Hey, we want excitement.. they made the cars safer so that's good lol. All kidding aside the best part of this is his "aw shucks" attitude. Truly reminds me of Ironhead.
  7. I know we all like to say don't sat "the R word" but the weather not our friend this weekend. Who's still on?
  8. Hopefully when Legacy gets Noah in some fast Toyota's and not the 5th level GM team this rivalry can blossom.
  9. I think he (Ross) is more of a badass than ironhead was. This dude won't take any crap Dale always seemed to be surrounded by people that kept hands off that mustache and sunglasses.
  10. June 10 their next race, don't shoot the messenger y'all just giving the premise of the mindset on this I don't work for HMP. There were 2 cars at Houston this weekend and I think 2 cars at I-37 with their version of this. Seems all the cars are still in the weeds.
  11. Agree but working together is a tough ask. We are on the American Racer tires, have been since no one else was great tire for the price. Well I will say that Owen Pittman at the helm is a great thing he will put his heart and soul in the deal. I would imagine if you wanted to run on the gulf coast in this class the rules re somewhat the same. Load em up and race.
  12. I'm just going to say, there were 3 cars last time. I'd figure out how to let it race there. Our rules are set not sure what those folks may have in place.
  13. I have for the life of me not figured out why someone hasn't scooped up this car for a Super Stock. This one would need to have the body replaced prob with the 81 Camaro body but as long as all the components are in stock locations or can be put back in stock locations it is a jewel for someone to jump on.
  14. Months ago Allen Alexander came to us at the Gulf Coast Racing Series with an idea and a purse to bring street stock race cars from the weeds to the track again. As usual the momentum continued and many other tracks followed the path and developed the idea as their own idea of this as well which is awesome to get some cars back on track. We planned to kick this off this weekend at Mobile but the weather said no. Here is the difference with our HOSS (Hercules Oval Street Stock) division. We have a division in place, the Sportsman. Mostly metric cars that put on a great show what Allen did with the support of the existing class was to incorporate the cars that have not a place to race. GCRS/MIS is working with Montgomery Motor Speedway, South Alabama Speedway, 5 Flags Speedway and others to make this a true street stock landing spot, $750 to win, ease of access for tire rules and just good steak bodied racing for stock cars. Monte Carlos, Camaros, Novas, 108" and beyond wheelbase cars. Like it should be, super clear rules just like we all want. Texans, you have something like this bring it we will get you on the track and you WILL be competitive. Tires? Bring what you have. Remember the SAS Sportsman and Kyle Street Stocks, CC Speedway Super Stocks.. that's what I want. Go to GulfCoastRacingSeries.com and click on the rules they are pretty simple and give you options. Help me/us make this class what it should be I promise you it will be worth your time and will be fun. Questions? Message us on the GCRS site and we will answer them. Let's go racing, like we used to. https://www.gulfcoastracingseries.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/2023-Street-Stock-Sportsman-REV-2-17-23.pdf
  15. yes pay attention at the race track. I'm amazed when I see people in the pits with their head up their ass. Great way to lose a race track when someone other than a driver gets hurt or killed. I saw Jimmie Johnson slam his brakes at COTA this year because there was some clown out on pit road taking a selfie at the end of practice. Imagine the non sense at a weekly track.
  16. New days are drama, excitement and soap opera during the week. pretty much like the world we live in.
  17. Yeah this stuff has been ppv for sometime but I do think Cup races on "free tv" this season are like 12-14 of them. BUT to watch them free don't you still have to buy a converter? lol It's the wave of the future did y'all see the new NFL/You Tube package, yikes. I will say that I do like the racing streamers simply because of the content you have at your finger tips. They all do do good work, it's hard work all reliant on an internet connection nothing sicker than not being able to get something on the air. The new TV deal will be crazy but it is what is. I'd honestly like to see NASCAR just do their own deal that could take care of a lot of the too many commercials thing and be soley dedicated to the sport. Sprinke in some weekly racing too.
  18. I agree, let the dirt pros race dirt and these people can do what they do. SInce the modern era 1972 the Grand National cars haven't raced on dirt. There are plenty of great dirt series let them have at it. If you want dirt live racing on FOX and NBC that is up those series to make that happen not NASCAR.
  19. hahahahahahaha yeah thankful for my wife's admin skills, I'd be in a ton of trouble with them without her. Example: Haircut on the company card, she asks why? I say I have to look nice for customers and videos. She says: 1. NO 2. Takes a hell of a lot more than a haircut
