  5. Hope the plan happens, I remember when CTS ceased operations I mentioned to some gathered people after going to list a property in San Antonio via I-10, " there seems to be plenty of room at San Antonio Raceway (at the time) for an oval and talk about location" Wonder if I get some profit sharing, not sure anyone in that bar told anyone my idea lol

  7. How about both the more the better. Probably offends or pisses off more than impresses but NASCAR has: A Mexican born driver An Asian American driver An African American driver Several White Dudes Get the ladies in there and balance this thing out.
  8. indeed, he was the first closely followed by the Palestine flash Pinky Pinkston if I remember correctly. Seems like after that is was a who's who of took that scary ride. I'm getting older by the day and my memory is fading so if I can wrong hopefully someone will set me straight!

  14. Nick, i think that would have been around 84-85 about the time my dad was flirting with the idea of getting us out of the stands and into the pits.... I studied you announcers a long time.. I'm pretty sure the time is right. Not long after Rick Benjamin came alomg, then of KSAT 12, he sure has made the move thanks to SAS!!
  15. my first trip to 16, we got lost on the way, being from Lockhart, didn't know where or what HWY 16 was! We made it, I couldn't believe the banking! My first dose was Robin McCall and Eddie Bierschwale in the Limiteds and Tommy Davis & The Bean Bandit in the Lates..... the start of a great relationship between my dad and I with the SA track. I remember the first Texas Classic, the All Pro Races and the Chitwood thrill show, Brian Carson too! We were worried she was a goner when Scott Holland took off, but she made it through! I could go on for hours and hours, makes me wanna have a Bud Light!
  16. I remember Judy Parks in the blue 44 Super Stock. She could hold her own pretty well against the guys. Didn't she reside in Smithville, TX @ the time? The first I saw of her was maybe around 84 @ Speed O Rama, she had another car before the got the camaro. Seem to recall her making the trips to TWS as well to run those Super Stock races.
