The Former "NHRA & World of Outlaws" Racing Venue that was a National Top Notch Dual Racing Facility here in the Houston area that hosted a Many of High Quality Televised Racing Events for years.

Just another High Quality Racing Facility that Bites the Dust due to "Urban Sprawl"

To help clarify the "iykyk" part....It's the reason it was sold and now a heaping pile of debris.....Just like the dirt track.....If you've followed the history of the track(s) it's easier to understand.

 ok now i know  went there once ..cant remember what his name was  in  the  rail type dragster . but he broke the speed record that weekend .. he backed the first run and locked the record down  ...  first and last time i went to a major drag race with all the top dogs  ...

Gene Snow in Top Fuel called "The first 4 second pass" (actually sub 5 second @ 4.997) ran at the first NHRA Supernationals at HRP in '88. 

Eddie hill did it before that but not at a sanctioned event.
