Yah ... HMP uses the "MyLaps" Timming System, Where the Factory Stocks use mostly a "Westhold" Type of Timming System. Just Means, The Factory Stocks are not Timed Correctly with a Correct Finishing Results with out using the Correct Transponders that the Track Uses.... The Correct Finishing Results Readout are Very Important for the Racers & Fans to follow the Sport....

In Need of a Good & Straight Steel OEM GM Metric Drive Shaft w/ Yoke = 52,1/2" u-joint to u-joint, Nice & Straight. Used OEM would be great. I live in Houston, Texas or Close... Thanks

Yah.... I raced at Hwy-16 Raceway some in 1980 & 1981 after Meyer Speedway Closed in 1979 in Houston. I loved racing there for sure. Great Racers to race with. The San Antonio area Does Need a real Good Modern Paved Oval Track For sure..... I guess that is all but a Pipe Dream at best now..... Hwy-16 / SAS was good to me for sure...... I loved that Place.....

I could use the Bell Housing Only..... Will you separate? I live in Houston....

Well the Finish of the Rain Delayed Daytona 500 was Pretty Dramatic at Best !!!! Some times the "Bump & Run" works pretty good, But also it Go's Real Badly like in this case... Congratulations to William Byron indeed....

Right.... "You would Think So...", But in this case I think that there was a Rookie Wildly Wiggling Around pretty Much bumping / pushing cars. That takes Skill. Bump Drafting & Side Drafting is a very useful old school tactic to get runs on the other line of cars so to speak. (But With Skill....) It is very fun to watch, if it is executed PROPERLY.... To avoid "The Big One...."

Another High Drama Racing Event on the High Banks of Daytona Int. Speedway..... Lots of Great Racing.... , the Big One, Drivers Making the Playoffs & Others Not Making the Playoffs, Race Cars Barrel-Rolling, & Lots, Lots of Cars torn up all most as Usual !!! & YIPPI.... Harvick Makes the Playoffs.... Wallace is in, But Elliot is Out.... Good Race, But Typical Daytona Bump Drafting Incidents as usual....

that's All Good Mr. Mike.... But I sure would check with Mr. Owen to see if they are going to Allow those 10" F-45 Hoosiers, HMP runs 8" American Racer Asphalt Slicks..... I don't know, But I sure would check that out before I made the Trip. Better to be safe than sorry... Hope info helps...

As Member Hi-Tech had Predicted a while back that the New HMP Promoter "Will" bring in the Factory Stocks to compete at HMP sooner or later..... I personally "Scoffed at", "Dreaded", & "Totally Dis-Agree With" that Idea at best... But I am seeing now that HMP is Pursuing that Deal, and is Formally giving a shout out & a welcome For Factory Stocks to come and compete at the next race at HMP September 23.... I don't know if that will be a one off type of race, or to be a Regular racing class there at HMP in the future.... I guess time will tell....

Some of the Seens at Meyer Speedway in 1979, The Track Closed for ever shortly after these Pic's were taken in the Summer of that Year. Great Times, Great Racers & Dedicated Racing Fans, Great Track Owner & Promoter...... The Opening of Big-H Speedway in 1978 was some what some of the Issues leading the Closing. Thanks for Looking....

Glad to hear that rails !!!! One of the Few Local Houston Area Race Tracks still around & operating.... Racer Howard Willis's Home Track. One the Very Best Local Racers of all Time, Hands down.

Yah it was just a few races back that Hamlin was Bitching to have the #5 Parked for crashing the #11 out.... Right On .... Radical for pointing that out !!!! (Sort of a Smoldering Feud going on between the #11 & #5. However Hamlin does take cake for the most Bitching for one thing or the other over the years. Equals a Bad Reputation for that Driver.)
