mssexycruze2011
I have autograph my cards to hand out to children. Just let me know if that is ok. mssexycruze2011
top_shelf_12
As a kid, I loved getting photos of cars. It's a simple joy and they can find those cars/drivers and get autographs. I used to have checkered flags that would have driver signatures in the white spots on the flag.

top_shelf_12
Does Slinging Dirt have a place at the end of the grandstands? Back in the CCS days they sold 4 random photographs for a dollar in a zip lock bag. Of course that was 20-30 years ago but maybe a possibility if it makes sense for the photographer to print 4x6s or 3x5s and sell them? STS typically has a bunch of kids at the track so maybe it'll work. Just shooting ideas. Also, get the go karts involved too, kids entertaining kids can be good marketing but I know that could be a challenge with several parents racing as well. I like the fact there's a car of some type behind the grandstands too, nice touch Ken. Think Saturday night was a dwarf, limited modified week before. Gives the fans an up close look at the cars that run.
mssexycruze2011
We need to have a night where the drivers can come out of the pits and sign autographs that night. Have a fans appreciate night to where the fans interact with the drivers. mssexycruze2011
drew
When we get to make it back we will bring frisbees and foot balls from clayton homes our sponsor.
arob
Any kind of interaction between teams and fans is a plus. And no cost except for time!
SouthTxPromotions
Slingin' dirt has grab bags for fans. $1 gets you 10-12 pics of drivers from previous weeks. Usually they are from drivers that opt to not purchase them in pits so we at least make sure kids can enjoy em.
arob
Sounds like a few folks are not aware of the photo/t-shirt booth.I may have missed it but I don't remember that booth being announced. T-shirts and hats are nice this year and they should be mentioned before and after intermission.

arob
I heard the brochures too. At intermission people are moving about, at concession etc. Thats why I said before intermission while most are in the stands. Track rides is a great idea! Flyin34
Nathan brought up a good idea.....draw for a chance to watch a feature race from the infield. Let the fans see how fast these cars are really moving out there. Really a different perspective watching a race from the infield.
top_shelf_12
Most definitely a different perspective and cars do seem faster down there.
South Texas Speedway
That's a good idea, However the liability of having fans in the pits or track during a event is not a good idea in my opinion. To much of a risk. Ken Hobbs
ks2290
Ken my new pure stock will have a passenger seat so if u wanted to do a fan ride along for a couple laps I would be good to do something during intermission like 5 laps. Message me and we can possibly work something out. The car should be ready by Thursday if u wants to do something this weekend.
OutlawB84
If you could figure out the liability part Ken the fans would love it. After crushing my radiator in the Street Stock feature I stayed in the infield to finish watching the race. It is insane what a different perspective it gives you. You see the speed you can't see from the stands, you see just how close we all are to each other, and just how hard that driver is working the car. I almost forgot my car was wrecked I was so into the rest of the race from the infield.
bronco
Yeah I watch from the infield and it is definitely different from there than the stands . Maybe the could go stand by saftey crew and watch
j.j.&s.racing
you can give them rides in a car but they cant watch from the in field?????? they both can sign a waiver.they can be done as a drawing

arob
Yes it was! Remember the big ..... nevermind. I used to stand on the back of a wrecker.I remember when inline 6 cylinders were the legal engine and Freddie Barnec blew his down the back straight,We were picking up pieces of camshaft and engine block the whole back straight.I hadn't thought about those good times in the infield in years. Thanks for stoking the memories!
HiTech
MEL old frank and walter .I remember that blue pinto out there I hung out in the infield a lot ..look closer and you see me standing over the right finder of that pinto..the man standing closest to the wall sure looks like billy hardcastle...
