ccspeedway
I know its short notice but I have a guy that wants to put up money for a SS race here next Sat. How many would be interested in running the 26th? He is talking a purse of 700 to win> But before he will do it he wants to have a rough car count. So like I said short notice but how many are interested.

RACER822002
It's a shame no one wants to race Edited April 23, 2014 by RACER822002
OutlawB84
It's not no one wants to race. It wasn't enough notice. Just spent a lot of money getting the car ready for another track. I don't have the funds to to get it ready for CC with a weeks notice. Your talking around $500 to race 1 night.

nowrench
When it was announced that the class wasn't going to run I stopped working on my car.. Â We tried to get the class organizade before the season started, but we were told no. So as of now my car is on jack stands and motor is being built. other than mine I know two converted to dirt and the rest are running out of town. Â it's hard to change setups with a weeks notice for some I can understand why some dont want to run

racefan69
Well ill say it this way the street stocks are not on the schedule this year due to the street stocks where not going to be ran at all due to some rule change .we where going to go there but we where told that we couldn't run there .so its a shame anthony monroe motor sports that we could not come there .like I said before a car is a car .a car at a track is better than sitting at home.the street stocks may not show back up.so its not the street stocks shame. ccspeedway
I know it was short notice but it came to me from a man that was at practice and I TOLD him it was not enough time but he ask if I would try! I will see if I can make it happen again for the next race but racefan I don't know where you got your info but the rules were changed to try to get more cars but we had only 4 or 5 each week and they were paid full purse.I never tried to pay the ones that showed less because it was not their fault no one showed. Cant keep doing that and pay other bills also.
nowrench
I think what racefan is referring to is his car isn't legal due to the non stock firewall which the majority of the street stocks no longer have that run at CTS so what rules would we go by
arob
OK! This is just an observation from a fan as I don't know nuttin really.I have to side with CCS on this one.Half of the Super Street / Stocks built their cars to CTS rules. This gives the signal to CCS that the class doesn't want to run CCS rules which left 4 or five cars at CCS rules.I don't blame CCS for dropping the class as it seems most of the teams opted for CTS .The four classes CCS has running this Saturday are the ones that consistantly have a good car count.Bottom line the Super Stock class is split between two rules.Given that only 4 or 5 cars chose CCS , CCS made the right decision. nowrench
Im sorry to differ on this the last few seasons the car count had dropped..last year there was a rules meeting and we took a part of CTS rules and was agreed upon by the drivers however it left several cars out..then later in the season it again was agreed to take on CTS weight penalties but again left out several cars..I tried to get the rules to match for both tracks it would allow more cars to come down and run..but if ccs management stays with the rules package from last year you will only pull your 5 cars...im not complaining I saying make to where everyone that wants to come down and run be able to..CTS has increased penalties for the old tsrs cars converted to street stocks and they pull 15 cars I think ccs can get that amount too but its all based on rules...ultimately it's up to ccs management that's my two cents... railer
Mr No wrench, Don't worry too much here Look at it this way there is no ss class now so there is no old or new rules Now , no class meeting for 2014 so look at it that way. So be it
top_shelf_12
So there seems to be 5-6 interested parties here, would a rules meeting be feasible to decide what needs to be done or are there too many strong opinions to work something out? Would those CTS guys come down if CCS uses their rules? Would the dirt guys be allowed should they choose to? A lot of issues to be discussed and a week isn't enough but there needs to be a start somewhere, is this a start or is this continuing disappointment of no SS? top_shelf_12
I hope so j.j.&s. It's not my battle as far as how heated each side was/is but I know there are too many SS rusting away or running away or playing in the dirt. But as long as no one knows what rules to use, I don't see SS running.
MatKam10
I am one that was not allowed last year because of no firewall. I was at both rules meetings and the only thing we did not agree on was the firewall. My car was ready to race all of last year but was not allowed. Like I said in a post before, if y'all support Cts rules, y'all could have a lot more cars including mine. My car is ready by the way. HiTech
just keep the dialogue civil and it could happen want to see them again. yeppers your right .....the cars from cc racing cts have already done the work spent the money to convert what ever it was to do so changed their ride hights and what not ....so going back to the old cc rule throw it out ..if cc really wants the ss class and i think cc does then it would be best to run what most have already have and not dribble on who has what that may or may not slow a car down ..cc is one track the fastest car with the most does not make a win you have four races this year hell i would not even worry that much about rules .the racers of this class a cts have already excepted the differents with both cars . the track is letting the bombers from cc and sts run together .the different between those two set ups is one has racing springs the other has stock and weight we will find out who is better or has an advantage .....at the same time some fences need to be mended ....jmo.. Radical
Just take CTS & CCS rule packages, see what is the differences between the two. What ever advantage one set of rules has over the other make it a weight penalty. Make it understood that after a race or two and it is obvious one group of cars seem to have an advantage that the rules will be tweaked again to help bring the racing more competitive. I would also try to run them like this for a season with no points awards at the end of the season. This way no one can say that so and so had the advantage and that is why he won the big pot. There has to be a way to compromise. I hope they find it.
MatKam10
Cts rules have the appropriate weight penalties for all cars. The top 2 cars at Cts last race were full frame street stocks.
