My take is you can dump someone on the first lap or last lap and not get a penalty. We have seen Gragson wreck people thus taking out 5-10 other cars on a road course this year and it was admitted intentionally. We get a pay back on a guy who intentionally wrecked Chase at Martinsville several years ago under green and this is the crybabies response. He is the same guy that made an ass clown of himself at Martinsville while Bowman celebrated his win. I realize he lost positions on the transaction, but he did slam the 24 car under caution as payback. Two wrongs don't make a right and a point deduction in the case makes no sense to me. Penalize him a pit stall, qualifying position or, crew chief sits at home but to deduct points isn't right. Nascar missed it and it's called racing circumstances. I've been put to the back when it I was an innocent bystander of the accident in front of me by spinning my modified to miss the accident. The penalty on the 24 is ridiculous.
i can agree with the u penalty ..the team worked hard to be where they are and that penalty hurts them too ,

if its the truth and it was what byron did ..i agree that should have been taken care of right then .. u know nascar saw it u know nascar has spotters u know it happened right in front of them and everyone else .. my bet is they over looked hoing it would go away .denny pushed to hard lost his talent and then complains when pay back comes to visit ..and nascar may have left it at that time for denney to get some punishment

TO MANY races with tire issues .... . and i think nascar gave denny a warning we will over look a payback from other drivers and penalize u, .. denny knew what he was going .. .. he cocked a large attitude now that he is a team owner and it has carried over into the team he drives for .. he thinks he is gods gift to racing ,,,,

I think it is dumb to wail on a guy who is wearing a full face helmet not to mention avoiding the seat helmet brace. He gets points for doing it where the fans can see!
i had my times when my first thought was to reach in and punch someone .. leading the first race of the season in 1989 ..the second place car rear ended off or turn two at cc speedway . turned me into the back wall flipped me on my roof and slid all the way down into turn three ... the driver full throttled me into the wall never letting off and that was what made me mad more than a new body the next week .. a few other times things happened .i decided to cool down then talk to the driver . .either we go out with the two of us and give the fans a wreck fest show . or fix it right here and now and save the money and time to rebuild .its cheaper getting over a black eye ..

u hit me while i am in the car like that , better check to see if u still have a arm left after i stop .. i consider that an assualt on my life .. wait itll i get out and go for it .its more even then .. anyone who gets mad enough to attack a driver in his car like that .is a coward and should not be aloud to race there again .. if i am going to take an ace whoopen i would like to be standing taking it or least trying to stand . .

Yeah but without those "big names" no one would go watch the show. Just like when the legends would race during the show not very many people would go watch during the day and those races were free to watch.
Its during the NASCAR race and you have to cater to the NASCAR fans. No nascar fans know who Jett Nunley, Jeffrey Newell, Trey Marcham, Isiah Garcia, Frank Flud, Kyle Jones and many others are. Guarantee though after this race they will know who these guys are.
Bad thing is you wont get many west coast racers for this because you have the Mark Hagopian Memorial going on that is a $5000 to win 50 lapper in California.
FUNNY seeing those wont show up at texas the nascar fans at this texas race wont know them either . no loss lol..gotcha

WIERD how an explosive car became a great little racecar
Many folks asked us why we raced those cars .. Seeing the history ,,those cars got a bad rap with fords bad design.. the tanks two strap bolts behnd the bumper were aimed right at the tank . did not take much of a rear inpack to force them into the tank they fixed that issue i think 1977 models .the mustang two if u wanted to call it a mustang had the same issue .... we ended up with about 35plus of those pinto's over the 80s and 90s last one we built was somehwere around 08or so and its still round ... nick once told me probably the first little car that ford built had the best front suspention for racing ..the mustang two suspention that are sold for hot rods . was the pintos design .. they just would not call it pinto for reasons we know .. .. if u have a pinto laying around that could be rebuilt let me . i want to put one back on the streets modified ..

Ha! arob is ALWAYS respectful.
Rain calls are always a "no win" deal whether it be before or during a race. No matter the call, someone will be upset. Florida is notorious for unpredictable "pop-up" showers that are hard to precisely track even on the best radar systems. In the past we have witnessed showers at one end of the track and sunshine on the other!
yep arob is always respectful i stand corrected .. SO am i .. waiting for lightning to strike

nick you can take this one off .

missing some braces , not to mention the top loop was built like a square . .. but least it helped him and he is ok .. .. old style cages .

I respectfully disagree. Especially at the high speed ,tight pack tracks like Daytona and Talladega. NASCAR has some of the best radar technology. They could see how very close the rain was to the track. You have to err in favor of safety and they didn't do that. If they threw the yellow this accident would not had happened and would had been a much better race if they were able to restart. With the 47 car being tossed around as it was it could had been much worse.
u dont have to be respectful to disagree ..... just disagree ..

SOME are mad at nascar about restarting that created this wreck .. NOT ME no rain on the track till just a few seconds before the cars went into that turn .. np mention if fans near that area or track officials even felt the rain . or had enough time to speak out with the speeds of those cars ...... rain happend like that more than once at cc speedway while i was out on the track racing ... so nascar did not affect the outcome in my books . the way the race was going and what was on line there was going to be a big wreck sometime with out the rain who would have been involved who knows , who would have still missed out being in the playoffs .. who knows ..

NASCAR has been around a long time .they know not to build a solid racar where the impact a driver suffers is far more worst that the car .... all the wall foam maight be outdated for htis new car ... BUT IT ISNT LIKE THE TEAMS HAD no say so in building this car from what i understand .. sure or hope nascar crashed test this car many times before they excepted it for the future then ... .. it has right tire issues fire issues and injury issue . two drivers out now for same injury , i did not know bowman wasn not in his car today ... till around midway .. his car was hit all the way around in todays wreck and still finished the race last years car would have been junk .. so prooof something is worng with the new xar ..
