Ron best part of that was when the 5 spotter said "he ran us over" or something like that and Larson responded.. "no he didn't"

Saw some real racing  right there .two drivers going at it and not one touch  ..

One would think. But so far South Texas Race Ranch has been near or over 100 cars. I-37 had over 100 last race. Texana just a little under that. Cotton Bowl and 105 have been doing well. But it may catch up soon.

    its coming ..  i hope not ..

Fans love it, it will give us drama going forward until the next guy pulls something.   There are a few ticking time bombs right now.  Harvick, Hamlin and Kyle Busch could go off at anytime.   I just wish they would go off on each other rather than bully someone who wont fight back.  They are just cowards, but cool to watch

i wonder who wont fight back ..  LETS NAME SOMEONE ..  i have no one .dont be fooled about  about some those nice guys .. they just have more class . till they are sick of it

  4. WITH   high cost  of gas  and fuel along with other items needed     could hurt  car counts  . all  three tracks depend on alot of out of town cars .i know i wont be going too far away from corpus .. . shoot i dont drive unless i really have to  and wont go across town  unless i have more than one place to go  along the route  .. ..

NASCAR will never stop or fine drivers for stuff like the above mentioned. Races that run without this drama don't get much press time. As for Logano he has a long history of "aggressive" driving. And it seems it is NEVER his fault or unprovoked. But the fans love it.

well i suppose we just have to wait for someone to get  really  hurt . its going to happen .as for  joey  he knew he was going to wreck  24  .. admitted it  ... came from his mouth   ,any notion he was just going to bump  is  pipe dream ..   joey never bumps anyone out  of the way  ..he wrecks them ..

  6.  I SAW TWO  RACERS going at it  both know they have to hang it on the line and things can  happen .. . had joey took the  bottom he would have done the same  to the 24  . . didnt look like  24 drove up on him . more slid up a tad and took the line  ... i expected joey  rough 24 up  if and when he got to him .but not a pure as$ day take out and admitted it ..  THAT SHOULD BE A FINE AND POINTS TAKEN AWAY .. This was not a dale sr bump .lol it was a pure take out .. had  joey punted him up  i say good racing .. not a punt  here ..

Went to the Texana Raceway Park event April 29 and saw some great racing , good car counts and big crowd especially for a Friday night. Then the event at the South Texas Race Ranch to more of the same. While at the Race Ranch a friend showed me a live shot at I-37 the same night and it was more of the same. Things are off to a great start for the South Texas race tracks. Thank you to the promoters and the race teams.

WENT   OUT TO THE RACES FOR THE FIRST TIMETHIS YEAR ..  i thought some of the races were good .. except for yellows  and the restarts .. i did not get to see many of races  so ill pick out just one class . factory stock .the biggest class of cars   this class is held out for last and thats fine  .but  that cone restart  after every yellow is for the  birds in my opinion  i didnt like it in tps  . fans go out to see some racing .that means restarts are a way to tighten up the cars for better racing .. . all i saw was freight train racing on restarts anyone  who had a decent car lets say 10th back  had no chance at all  getting anywhere near a chance t o move up .you cant  when you have to wait    ..AS  an old driver i figured why restart knowing  i have small or   no chance to move forward . this kind of starting  can run fans off . just the same as  wreck after wreck  pushing a race way to long .. this class is fast and more than i have ever seen it .you dont have  to be a really fast car when  you get a head start on the restart ..  i agree  there are times a cone should be used to finish a race that has alot of yellows from wrecks  .or better yet a time limit . but to do so every restart  no.... if a class racing fans out and freight trains after a start  that  is natural ..

i will forward the thanks you  for  the  scorers to my wife  . those folks up there sitting hours on hours   just waiting for that bathroom break think about we can go anytime  but once those races start  .the scorers and others inside that box cant go anywhere .. sometimes   they are forgotten when its back to back to back racing .. once the first set of races are done  they have to get ready for the features after they get done with the last race .. they do not get to run around  very long  ..i dont know how they do it .. as for eating  well either they take a snack of wait till the end of the night  and most times they dont even get the chance to snack .. its easy to forget all those  who work that press box all of them not just the scorers ,,and they all must get things done a very fast fassion ... not a job i could handle  tried it once  20 years ago   .never again .  THANK YOU FOR  THINKING ABOUT THEM .. Had to Nick, didn't know they started at 7 now and you know Owen runs a tight show and tries to keep things moving quickly which is not a bad thing at all. With all the family events going on at home, wasn't even sure I was going to make it at all. Myracepass was the only place to get track information while the track gets the new website up and running after the rebrand. Great job by the scorers for posting them quickly and they do a great job all night scoring by hand. Think STRR may be the last track in Texas not using transponders. Final checkered flew just after 11 and that was with an extended intermission for the Easter Egg hunt that went pretty well.

  11.  miss the smell of  burning regular gas ,  the sound of those  old cars with  283.s and six bangers .  hand built cars right out of the back yard .  racers having to build their  own parts . fights every night   .nothing like a flying tire iron lol .. . racing is tame compared to those days .. and lets not forget the smell  of burnt up tires .. the smoke coming off of them  during a race .. good old cotton candy and smoke filled concession listening  to old bull home speakers  blasting in your ears ..

  12. About the only thing on tv to watch other than news ..  so i decided to watch nascar comedy hour .. the  weather made that a better race than last year .kept the dust down .  i dont think  nascar will keep this up  least at bristol ..  didnt help fill the stand.   the show was better than  last weeks . and briscoe least  stood up and said sorry ..it was racing on dirt ..the tv ratings  .havent seen them yet ..but no where near news worthy as 1979  with a more captured audience ..

It is going to be interesting to see how Factory Stock count holds up.The past few years they were the best thing going for the fan (at least this fan). Lots of car count , great racing throughout the pack. But now that the price tag is getting to be over $10,000 for a car we shall see if that continues. I have noticed Sportmods are struggling at some of the South Texas tracks. Hope that improves. Then there is all the things going on in the"real world". That is going to make it tough on the racer and the fan.

why my son decided it was time to walk way . i know another driver or two who has so much invested  they  cant afford to  just walk away . factory stocks which i still say  is not much left that is stock is getting way out of hand . the cost is crazy for what for  any return  ..just winning  a race may pay half of what many teams spent just to get to a race . . but they still show up till they no longer want to keep buying the new items some others can afford .. ....i enjoyed so much taking  our  class of cars back down to darn near stock in 1990.. the cost was killing the class .and yet it cost me a few others  to go backwards and not run what we already paid for .. but it was the best things .. .now factory stock in just what four years had moved  price wise  higher than  a  sports mod . .  sorta funny  with the motors and everything else  a factory stock has now still  has a no header rule ..  . you know every class  moves into  trouble after a few years .nature of racing .. same old arguments . i say factory stocks heading the direction it is going now  will not be around or a large class  in two to three years from now or less ... the cost is not coming down  ,

  14. well my  son decided to sell out and stop racing .. the cost of a factory stock  which isnt much factory  anymore  . motor cost has gone sky high  . now  the shocks well  depends on how much money you have and some are way up there .. 800 ,dollar carbs..  and suspension  parts . just over all the cars cost double or tripple  over the last four years  ..  the cost to get to the track is high . 50 plus to enter a car  and so forth  .. the average purse about what it was 20 years ago . everything cost so much now .. even i have lost  interest .. the shows are good the managers do what ever t takes to end the shows  ...
