  1. Pit Bull isnt going to bring any cotton eyed joe music man. But that is ok, you cater to the money. Money pays the bills
  2. Yea, maybe find a happy medium, cut the race down to about 125 laps and only start about 22 cars. But it was an exhibition, so the Party went on under the cautions.
  3. One good thing about it was that it renewed some old rivalries. Kyle Busch is mad at the champ Joey Logano now. I think all but 9 cars were involved in some extra action.
  4. The vibe was awesome at the Clash man. That is like the Old Bristol without the Redneck Music. Nascar is expanding the audience base. You gotta love them stepping outside of the box man. They are taking care of the TV fans man, this is great stuff to watch. Their money is coming from the Networks and they are collaborating with them in doing these exhibitions. It is an investment into the future
  5. The city bought half of the Speedway property and a Food service built a nice facility where the dragstrip was.
  6. There isnt anything going on out there and there will not be any race track
  7. You pretty much hit it on the head Josh. As much as I hate to say it, that racer at Kyle pretty much ruined it for asphalt racing in Texas and I dont blame the track owners. Heck, Texas dont even support TMS. So get used to traveling if you want to see it in person. But I would just assume watch it on TV and Racing America is cheap. I wish Race on Texas would get right on their prices
  8. HMS is the perfect spot for it here in Texas. Large Corp base to pull sponsorship from. The Oil guys have money to burn right now. If they would bring late model racing there, people would pay attention. I doubt with the current lineup they will get the attention needed to attract Corp sponsorship like was there before when they had a great class of Late Models.
  9. All that we need is for HMP to bring John M back. He had that place rocking because that is how he made his living.
  10. June Bug, Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick and Justin Marks bought the CARS tour. Things are looking good in Late Model Asphalt racing. They are not requiring used Junk $30 tires. You can buy brand new Hoosiers and let the Show begin
  11. With the proper team behind a race track, there is plenty of money available to succeed. Did anyone witness COTA this year? They sold 7 million dollars worth of booze in November. We just need people to step up and quit crying about $175 tires. That is just a round of drinks at COTA.
  12. Unfortunately, the radio market is aging and rapidly shrinking as digital social media takes over.
  13. The best way to get outsiders involved is to give away about 200 to 300 tickets per race to people that have never been. It is important not to give them away to people who have been, or are already paying customers. Pick different groups, like the Chamber of Commerce, High School Bands, Little League Teams, etc. People who will come as a group. You will get some hooked on it.
  14. yes, there are lots of other things to do that are way more fun than hanging out in junkyards to support your hobby. I would rather be like that guy that is the arrive and drive type. Give them their $120,000 grand and show up with a clean crisp driving suit, clean fingernails and hot chicks and lets go racing boys
  15. After making the rounds at the Snowball derby, found out about 95% of these SLM guys do not build their own cars any more. Most of them buy them Turnkey from Hamke, Fury or Port City for $120,000 on up. Not many normal guys racing there. But that is where the action is at. People were spending money hand over fist on everything there. Price was no object. Hotels were about $300 day, Rental Cars $200, food was over the top and well, you know the boooze was high, and lots of it
  16. Those guys took it like the Champions that they are. They admitted it, owned up to it, and have now moved on.
  17. All that it takes is money and Texas isnt spending money on racing.
  18. I have been going for years. Camping is an option and I enjoy the roughing it part of getting ice, getting the tanks pumped etc. I do not expect TMS to do the work. I have never had a problem getting ice, I mean there is a Buccees right there now. LOL If I have to pull up and go pump my own tank out, so be it. That is part of the experience. 19. I am not sure that is a problem, that is another way they monetize. Sure fans help, but they dont really need them. The show is made for TV. It would not surprise me if they get their own network and take advantage of the revenue from streaming. There are some pretty cool ways to watch it now
  20. It should not matter where you are at. It doesnt make it ok to drop someone because you dont want them to talk to you. The world would be a better place if we had more mommies walking their kids to school everyday. Maybe they would stay away from the violence that they learn when mommy isnt around
  21. Ok, I will say a prayer that noone gets injured when you dropped them because they hurt you feelings.
  22. The problem is the guy who is so insecure that he has to drop someone for trash talking. Trash talking never hurt anyone. Where does the violence stop? If a small guy gets dropped, does he get a jack handle? A gun? Run over him with a car? The sanctioning body needs to mandate that these guys get help with managing their anger.
  23. Austin Hill assaulted him any way you look at it. Trash talking is part of the game. A coward assaults people.
