  1. Really?  When did they have 9 tracks with 50+ pro late models?   Never, that is when.   The track is doing what is can but there is just very little interest here in Texas.  In the past 25 years or so, There was a 3 or 4 year window where Texas had 4 asphalt tracks running.  Kyle, San Antonio, Houston and Corpus Christi, for the Late Models.  Everyone has there own reasons why it all went away, but the best days were when the rental guys were throwing money around renting cars and sponsoring tracks.    Other parts of the Southeast are booming with Late Models with lots of rental rides.   Here in Texas, we cant even get guys who want to buy tires.  LOL

  2. It is not always just the rental kids.  We need them, they bring the cash man.  I wish we had more of them around with money.  When we had a bunch of them, we had a nice Pro-Late model class.  That is the class people come out to see.  With all of the money in Oil City USA (Houston), it boggles my mind why we cant het 15 to 20 Late Models.  The fans and sponsorship will follow.  I dont see a major sponsor jumping on board for the current race card

But either way,  I know about 20 teams that would love to hire you for all these partners that "There should be no problem raising 10 or 15 grand a race".  I'll give you a 50% commission, and put you in touch with 25 teams.  With 11 races, this should be the easiest $1.3MM you've ever made

There you go, not willing to put in the work?    I dont need a job, It is not my hobby that I am trying to support.  Been there, done that   If you cant sell, you cant race.  EOS

  5. """Or maybe the issue is costs are out of control and the ROI on fun for circle track""""

The ROI is only limited to the marketing ability of driver/owner.    If you cant sell, you cant race.   There should be no problem raising 10 or 15 grand a race with marketing partners in Houston.   Noone is entitled to race, you have to earn it.    The only classes left at HMP are the tea cup classes.  And you think the expenses are out of control there?   LOL    The person who loses the jump rope contest always accuses the winner of cheating or that it costs too much to play jump rope and they cant practice.  Sound Familiar?

Who would have thought a year ago Legends and Legacies would outnumber every other class combined.

    Wild.

    (Not counting karts)

*maybe there was some merit to all those conversations about cost cutting to make the full size classes more sustainable*

I have witnessed the cost cutting statement for 30 plus years.  It never changes.   People change.  It has always been expensive to race and always will be.  There are areas in the country that Super/Pro Late model classes are booming.  Look at the Cars tour.  Booming man.   What we are missing here in Texas are enough people willing to spend the money or go get the money to do it.  People would rather spend their time and efforts trying to be an influencer on Tic Toc now that building a race car or chasing sponsors.  There is no shortage of money in Houston, just a shortage of willing people.  Nothing wrong with that either.

and those moments when u  think  huh .. what he say .. i have been following  subjects here all along  while i was out . and man not once did  any of u   make it a point out loud to ask where the heck am i where was the love ..  i know alot of my fans  are  staying  in the closet  wont step forward in todays world . social media is dangerous and would not love a front door full of protesters  for  admiting they love me . cant blame them on that  point .. so i will settle with knowing i am famous in my own mind and loved by many ..that is.   LOVE TO KILL ME ..   my old boss always finished off the i love  u with that statement  /i never  figured out why he was so kind to me  must be a common  sense issue .... anyway  guys its good to be back ..i would say  nick edited  me out but that woild be a lie .. i had to replace my old computor  it went  to .well u know ... clapping is aloud  and  getting  drunk useing ,me with the wife as an excuse to party is not advised .. dont want  the wife mad at me . but if u do have a nice hangover /  put the lime im the coconut .

Glad that you are back.  We need more Nascar haters to troll.     Nascar is on a roll man, lighting up the attendance, viewers and great competition

  8. It has been that way for many many years, at least the stage racing helps the action some.   It brings strategy into play.  There are always the whiners and complainers, so who cares what bubbles has to say

  9. With that purse larger that the Indy 500, I sure hope a smaller team wins it.  It will make me sick is Henrdrick, Penske, Gibbs or 23X11 wins it.  The Winners Share is expected to be between $2.5 to $3 million.  But heck, even last place pays nicely

  10. I let Nascar know that it is ok with me to get the clash out of there.  As a matter of fact, no need in the clash any longer.  Those days are over.   I wish that they would put the money into a different short track around the country each year and run it there.   Just think what we could do with a million bucks plus  or so at a place like San Antonio Speedway or freshening up HMP.   Maybe Five Flags could get a face lift and Mobile could actually get restrooms.

  11. Now we have to buy another subscription to watch the ASA tour.    Floracing, Racing America, Race On Texas,  now Tracktv.   No need to ever go see another race.  Stay at home at watch 4 at a time
