No Kidding, that was cool to watch.

crowd funding for a race track would be the worst business model ever in the race track business.
-
I am not so sure that is desperation, I see it as proactive and a good thing

When I go to an auction, I walk away if I think something is way over priced and it is not that big on my priority list. Also when I go to an auction, if there is something I want, I can promise you I take it home with me, no matter what it is worth. All in the eye of the beholder I guess.
If FOX or NBC really wanted that series, I'm pretty confidant it doesn't end up in CW's hands.
I love to see the big boys lose. CW is building the next beast. I think that it is cool that Fox and NBC thinks that they are the only game in town.
-
Yes sir, CW is stepping up to the plate in sports, can you imagine what the cup series is going to get?
-
CW is paying Nascar $800,000,000 for the rights to broadcast the Xfinity series. Who needs the seats man, what a cash cow
-
They cant do without Nascar. The boo birds are just mad because Nascar will not give them press credentials any longer. They have been kicked out for talking chit. LOL
-
Looks sold out to me. I dont see any seats

You must not have noticed all the blocked off seats covered with banners?
I am just glad you watched it, everyone else did too

No, I did not see any seats covered. They announced a sellout, so maybe they are lying? Or maybe they were not lying? Who cares, I dont watch the seats, I watch the sparks flying from the crashes

Mr Always right Dennis Hamlin dive bombed it into 1 and used the 5 as a crutch. Probably would no be bad if he would have owned it, rather than play the victim or say the 5 missed the turn. They were racing for the win. But, that is typical of a Bully or a Narcissist.
PS: Another sold out exciting race. These clowns at Nascar are hitting it out of the park man. Rather than complain about empty seats, the boo birds are complaining about the traffic now. WINK WINK

someone i suppose never owned a car raced a car built a car financed a car .. or even sat in one
Oh, are we going to flop it out an sees which one is bigger? Are opinions rated based on the amount of money spent in racing? That is the problem now, the guy with the largest check book runs the show
-
No racer has ever blatantly cheated. WINK WINK

claim trucks? I am not sure you can claim the truck. Maybe a shock, but you cant get a setup from claiming a shock. They cannot tech every motor, carb, shock, transmission etc. The claiming rule should help keep some high dollar parts away. The track should be able to confiscate parts that are illegal. That is a deterrent. Weight, ride heights etc is a moving target and getting dq'd for that is part of the game. You have to push the envelope. But cheater parts need consequences. Not just a DQ. But, I really dont care, I have no dog in the hunt either
-
Really, what is being done? Disallowing claiming?
-
Tough situation. The money guys run what they want, and if they get claimed, they refuse and they are never coming back. The track loses a car or two and probably a sponsor. Maybe the claim rule should be the part is confiscated if they do not comply. Maybe that is more of a deterrent than a DQ.
-
Yes sir, if you want to run the high dollar stuff, go getcha some of the Super Late Models. It will not take long to see that you are a little fish in a big pond there. It is easy to out dollar the local stuff.
-
Yes, very true. But as long as you let those guys run the $1000 shocks, $6000 transmissions and cheated up crates, the normal guys have no chance. Texas racing died for a reason....thats it.
This is five flags rule.....Copy and paste it, they do well there
"10. Only one shock permitted per wheel. All shocks must be steel, non-adjustable. Claim rule will be $175.00 per shock by Track or Competitor. (Shock must be claimed within ten (10) minutes of completion of Victory Lane ceremonies, in cash, presented to the Head Tech Official.)
-
Without a claiming rule, they will continue to run these $1000 shocks, $6000 Transmissions and cheated up crates.
-
Very nice, too bad that it is dirt
-
Claiming rules are all good until something gets claimed. LOL

Yea, rain element made it interesting for sure. It was manageable to run the race when the rain slowed down and the puddles were gone, unlike when they tried it at COTA. But the COTA deal was part of the learning process. They got it right this time.

Nascar is bringing in new fans right and left while the old redneck fans wear out their keyboards complaining about it

The minute they stop the risky stuff and cheating is when they stop winning and the races would be boring without the drama. Ty M has been cheating his stuff up and finally got busted in the truck series. He also had a cheated up powder coated intake on his SLM. I think they made a new rule for that now. The kid from Austin run good yesterday in the 41 truck, got 10th. The other Texas boy Buescher won the Cup race
