The Former "NHRA & World of Outlaws" Racing Venue that was a National Top Notch Dual Racing Facility here in the Houston area that hosted a Many of High Quality Televised Racing Events for years. Just another High Quality Racing Facility that Bites the Dust due to "Urban Sprawl" ( that is why "Reb" is so Upset to say the least......)

Yah, it was an Exciting Race Indeed.... I just noticed that some of the Stands were Not very Full as you think that it should be for a National Event. I can only Hope that Racing Fan Interest in Texas is Not Going on a Downward Trend.

SPRS has recently Updated / Tweaked the 2023 Bootlegger Rules to Include 9" Ford Non Floater rear ends w/ Full Spools as well, Front Jack Bolts, Front Hiem mounted Racing Shocks if Jack Bolts are used, up 3.5 Exhaust Tubing. A Few added enhancements for Better Racing. Check these Updated Bootlegger Rules out on the SPRS site.

What Street Stock Class?, HMP has the New "Bootlegger Class" witch is = to a Prue Stock !!!, Mobile (MIS) has a "Sportsman Class" & "Pure Stock Class". These are Limited Entry Level Pure & Factory Stock Classes at Best.... However to Answer Your Question.... I do believe that there are other Engine Options for those listed Classes other than the "602" engine option. Hope Info Helps.

Racers, How do I Calculate the "Final Drive" Rear Gear Ratio w/ the Transmission Chosen Drive gear ratio? For Example !!!! I have a 1.68 Second Gear in a Three Speed Saginaw Trans. w/ a 3.55 rear gear ratio.... What is the Final Drive Ratio would that be? & how do calculate that Equation? thanks racers....

Yes, Expansion of Events of that Series Westward towards S/E Texas would be a great thing Indeed for the Deep Rooted Race fans & Drivers of this region to have a Home Based event would be Wonderful indeed. However that Successful / Grass Roots type of Touring Racing Series Basically Has been Based Primally in Virginia, North Carolina, & South Carolina at mostly the Old Time Race Tracks..... Expansion of events To Florida, Alabama, Ohio, Indiana, & even to the Lone Asphalt Track in Texas would be Awesome....

Yah I Feel You, it's the SAME Thing in Houston in my neighborhood as Well Mike..... Also on top of that, my Drunken Neighbor thinks he needs to give "His Saturday Night Special" a little work out in his back yard as Well on New Years Eve every Year... ( That is Very CARELESS & DANGEROUS as You Say..., What go's Up must Come Down, But does He Care?????) Will these Race Car Do as well, I would race in a New York Minute at HMP with these cars again. The Pro-Stocks..... Now That was Fun Racing right there. To Bad that New Promoters don't Understand that these Race Car Were a Fan Favorite for several Years. Those were the Days. It was also Fun to have Uncle Bob calling the Races as well. The Cars & Stars of the Pro-Stocks.... Yep, Fun Days indeed.....
