  1. James Higdon: That was a great video...really enjoyed watching it! I wonder if a race was ever put together like that in Texas if it would be a hit?
  2. Wow that was fassssssssst for sure ....9.4 for a 3/8 mile track @ 142mph! Those cars have enough piping in them to do a 4000SF home just about
  3. This is a race run this past weekend that I hope you'll enjoy as I did. VERY interesting to watch

    time

I early voted for the same guy I voted for 4 years ago....no regrets either
  5. I agree on Eddie for sure. I really would like to see AWS run Top 10 but this team is going in the wrong direction. They’ve had time to season and gel and it’s just not happening. Now with firing Eddie, they’ve taken yet another step in the wrong direction. Correct if wrong but the only sponsor he has attracted is family money. That can only last so long. Any others have opinions on this?
  6. I'll keep that in mind Josh42.....Thx for the info
  7. I just saw the entry list for Kansas and Ryan Salomon is now listed as the crew chief. Does anyone know of him?
  8. Josh 42...WOW, I learned alot there.....Thanks! Hi Tech....I agree with you as well.Bring money with you. Thank you both for pretty much confirming what I said previously
  9. I can think of at least five (5) or more drivers that I watched develop and hone their skills at local short tracks in Texas that had enough "to get there" on talent (yet didn't) due to not having the sponsors to pull it off. I'm not sure buying your way in is right but it seems to be the way to get yourself in the sport since the 90's. The sad part is that many drivers who are capable have to instead watch on TV. Call me crazy but that ain't right
  10. Since they don't run this weekend, we'll have to wait for the next race to see the result of this change
  11. Matt DiBenedetto has inked a contract extension with Wood Brothers Racing, the organization announced Thursday in a release. And Team Penske announced that rising prospect Austin Cindric has signed a multiyear contract, keeping him in the NASCAR Xfinity Series next year before taking over the Wood Brothers No. 21 Ford full-time in 2022.
  12. I cannot believe someone wont renew his contract with the 21 or grab him up for another ride. MattyD has proven he can drive with sub standard equipmt or top shelf equipment. His attitude is right, he gives great interviews so why not? Then today I see that the 48 is being filled by Bowman.....that leaves the 88 open (or do they delete the 88)?
  13. I was one of the lucky 20K or more in attendance and sat about 150 feet before the start finish line in the lower Ivey section. I had a clear spot on view of the 11 and 12 cars pit stall directly in front of me. 11 led the first 24 laps and came in for the competition caution and raced near the back the rest of the day until about lap 170 (18 to go). The 11 car came in MANY times throughout the race....pit crew "sauntered" over to his car...changed a tire here and there, top off fuel, look at front splitter....never in a hurry. We commented how he sandbagged the whole day and now would go win probably (though we were all rooting for the 21 to do it). On the last OT, Cody Ware wrecked the 27 head on into the outside wall (as we saw on the monitor) and the race continued on (no caution thrown) and again a wreck in turn 4 with the 11 car below the line and he just stayed there with no attempt to get back on the track. Race is over and 11 comes down to start finish line and does his burnout and goes to the inspection line...he pulls up and two officials standing there put thumbs up in the air and he proceeds back to start finish line, parks and gets out and starts interview. At this point everyone there is booing him. Thats my recall of the day anyway. To add insult to injury, I DVR'd the race at home on NBC to come home and find out they cut it at 6pm to NBCSN which is not DVR'd . Pretty sure NBC will get some calls and letters about that.
  14. someone suggested that a 4 way lug wrench be thrown in the 43's pit box and Nascar do an investigation of it being a religious cross

    VIRUS

I am the Safety and Training Mgr for a large public transportation company. Early in March I was appointed to leads the COVID19 effort for my location. I hold morning conf calls and report numbers today versus yesterday. I am in Dallas Texas. This is the website I use and its comprehensive in drilling down all counties in Texas. Spend some time with it because it does states, the USA and globally and is done up to the minute. There is a drop down for counties in Texas....check your respective county out. https://www.bing.com/search?q=coronavirus+latest+updates&FORM=QSRE5
  16. Prayers to God being sent that these two fine people recover and live their lives the way they always have,
  17. Kind of like "I finished second in the car show" or "I finished second in the race " How many cars were involved? Ugh......Three Saying Daytona was a sellout without adding that 50,000 seats were removed is a "spin factor" Note to Reb.......glad you got it
  18. Hate to be a "Debbie Downer" but has everyone forgotten that over 50,000 seats were removed from Daytona and several other tracks? It was nice to see the stands full but lets not get all revved up over "stands full" when the fact that "stands were removed" I'd love to see the stands that were removed... "added back". That would be a true gauge that NASCAR is making a comeback
  19. This is the WORST wreck I've ever seen at Daytona and it was 20 years ago.......
  20. Who could NOT root for this racer? He is my hero......Such an inspiration to all of us! Go Greg
  21. Get Well Soon Nick!! Hope you feel much better!
  22. Paul White from Waco won the Silver Crown one year....can't remember when but was around 2000. That was an awesome show!
  23. I was watching that night and up until Rodney mentioned it, I'd forgotten all about that.....They have a history but then again, so did Brad and Carl Edwards. I remember Brads Dad (Bob) telling the officials on TV that if Carl didn't knock it off he'd (Carl Edwards) kill Brad on the racetrack wrecking him.
