Unless we experience significant weather issues repeatedly, we don't presently have make-up events, but will address that if we experience repeated weather issues. Note that it is our intention to involve the kids in some way each night with special things. We may tweak some of the additional things for the night, but we wanted to get you the basic racing schedule for your calendar planning. One special thing we will be doing is selecting a youngster each night to be the starter for all feature races.A couple of huge thank you's. First, thank you to Bruce Tesch for the opportunity to open Texana Raceway Park. We are greatly appreciative to Bruce for the opportunity and thankful for the guidance and assistance being provided! Secondly, thank you to Ken Hobbs for reviewing our planned schedule before we publish it and Ken's input and advice! TRP Posted January 23, 2017 Author Report Share Posted January 23, 2017 Good afternoon Rick. Races will be scheduled to start at 7pm each race night. Drivers meting will be 6pm each night. Please everyone note that on opening night (March 25th) we have a ribbon cutting ceremony on the front straight with the Chamber of Commerce at 6:45pm. We will ask all racers who will, to join us on the front straight with their cars on the front straight 3 or 4 wide, starting at 6:30pm opening night to be present for the ribbon cutting ceremony with Master of Ceremonies / Track Announcer, Mr. Owen Pittman. Immediately following the ribbon cutting, we will have a parade lap and start peeling the outside line off, followed by the next line on the next lap, etc. If everything works perfect, we will be ready to drop the green flag for opening night with the Pure Stock Heat 1 race at 7pm. We anticipate a large number of teams competing on opening night. With this in mind, we will have driver registrations available at each of the practices (Feb 25th and March 18th), and would encourage all to register on the practice day. $25 to register for the year. Also, we will have reserved parking spaces available on practice nights at a cost of $25 per, for anyone who wants a reserved parking spot. TRP Posted February 12, 2017 Author Report Share Posted February 12, 2017 Counting down. Just two weeks to Practice Night #1 on February 25th. Practice will begin at 6pm. You can register your car for the 2017 season at practice and purchase a reserved parking space if you want one. We will be at SOS with four cars (including the two Rent-A-Racecars) for practice this Wednesday, and we'll be competing with the #32 Pure Stock on Friday and Saturday during the big USMTS event. Come out and support the SOS event, and come by our pits and visit with us sometime during the weekend! Look forward to talking to many folks.
