SouthTxPromotions Posted February 15, 2015 Report Share Posted February 15, 2015 With the help and support from local fan/driver Jon Hutchinson, one of STP and Street Stock Shootout newest members, we are happy to announce we are working with the Corpus Christi IceRays hockey team. We will be working with each other on several events with the first one being this Saturday Night. We will have several race teams with their cars being displayed promoting the South Texas Nationals big race event coming soon on March 12-14. Come visit and hang out with your racing friends that are taking time to promote the sport you love and at the same time giving back to a key sponsor with your attendance. top_shelf_12 Posted February 15, 2015 Report Share Posted February 15, 2015 Yes, they are excited about having some cars at the games and possibly putting a few on the ice during an intermission, doing a lap during Party Patrol. Think there is room for a dozen or so cars to line up outside the arena, show them off, talk to fans, and take in the games. Details being ironed out, but this should be a go for the upcoming games Friday, February 19th, and Saturday, February 20th. We've had a few commitments already and this is meant to promote the South Texas Nationals at Shady Oaks Speedway March 12-14 and to put that taste in the mouths of Corpus Christi race fans for the South Texas Street Stock Shootout race March 28th. If this goes well, we will try to to do more events with the Icerays in the future. The Icerays will be battling it out with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees as they renew old rivalries. I'm shooting for 10-12 total, primarily for those planning to run the Nationals at Shady Oaks but door may be open. We have 4 Streets and 2 Limiteds on the list, where are my Pure Stocks at? Again, let me know if you're interested and I'm awaiting details to be finalized with the team but they were excited to have cars at the arena.
