I found the event on Facebook and shared it out I will post any that responds and I will have mine there even if it's not done.

Waltrip's was great in his day but it's time for him to go.

Timothy you are wrong again. This is the perfect time of year and Josh is giving the racers plenty of time to be ready. The bad time to ask is in the winter while we are all tearing our cars down. Or less than a week before the event. Josh I know plenty of racers in that area. Is this on Facebook and if not may I put it on there to get some support?

I agree with Mike. it will not be a sad day when Waltrip is gone.

I think we are about to see an explosion of sport compact cars. I also think they are how we will get new drivers into the sport.

Arob if the factory stocks do anything like the rest of Texas then they will be fine. I know alot of factory stock drivers love the 30 dollar asphalt take offs.

Them landing any sponsor doesn't mean anything about the health of the sport. It says more about the sales people at Nascar. The attendance at the track shows the health of the sport. No fan equals no more big TV contracts.

When did anyone (including me) bash nascar on this thread. Seems what I have read is our opinions on why nascar is on the decline with fans

I didn't compare the 2. Everything I said was about Nascar. It's also fine that you don't like dirt racing. I'm not going to come on here and try every week to change your mind. What I will do is offer to buy your pit pass to either 281, cotton bowl, or i37 when I'm there. But as I said in the beginning I'm not comparing nascar and dirt. I simply said that my imca modified, dirt racing, TV shows and certain movies is what I watch instead of nascar because it no longer can keep my attention.

Tim you can try your best to argue your normal points but this race was the best example of how much the sport has declined. What every the factor is a fact. Bristol used to be booked for years out and now you can walk up and get right in. I know the next thing you are going to say is that great anyone can go watch now. The issue is they are not going to watch anymore. Weither its the ticket price or the racing on the track doesn't matter. The fans are not coming. People are bring cars in 30 ft trailers because they need cars to fill the field. Not because it is getting better for the average racer. I'm not saying you can't have a positive attitude but you are not going to change anyone's minds on this forum about our feeling on NASCAR. I have been a fan all my life and used to make it a point to watch or listen to the races every time they were on. But these days I don't. Weither it's things o have to do on my modified or going to a local dirt track or a good movie or TV show there are a lot of things that come before nascar these days. In my opinion the racing is not as good. It doesn't hold my attention anymore.

Tim your constant drum beat that if you are winning you must be cheating just proves that you and your cars are not legitimate. Do people cheat? Yes but that doesn't mean the only way to win is cheat. Tim Homeyer wins all the time with a fully legal race car.

I hear that it is moving along with some small adjustments.

Guys let's keep this positive and about the track please. I would hate to see this thread locked or vanished.

We should all be happy that someone is willing to use their own money out there to build a track. Instead of whining and complaining about how we don't think it will work or not what I want. I just hope the person building the track doesn't change their mind.

That's not exactly true. There are plenty of 1/4 mile tracks that aren't "wreck fest". It all depends on track layout and the drivers. Mostly the drivers.
