There's a 5th category. I was at SAS at 3 weeks old, I think I fit into the old-timer category even at 37 but NASCAR had gotten monotonous and boring so I stopped watching. What brought me back really was the trucks on dirt...then the road courses...then Cup on dirt and on and on. Now I try to watch most every race again (as long as RaceonTexas doesn't have something). I watched Chicago and enjoyed it thoroughly. The 5th category is old-timers actually interested in what NASCAR is doing now.
WOW 37 .shoot u are still wet behind the ears .young man .. i got u on 30 more .nick well he has me by .i cant count that high takes to long ..

Tough situation. The money guys run what they want, and if they get claimed, they refuse and they are never coming back. The track loses a car or two and probably a sponsor. Maybe the claim rule should be the part is confiscated if they do not comply. Maybe that is more of a deterrent than a DQ.
IF U LOSE A CAR a driver and team that wont pass tech or care to . U lost nothing .. u gain in the end when drivers notice the track is not playing any games .and i would want to race there .. if u are worried about a car or two not coming back over not passing tech .you should not be running a race track .. this is coming from an actual use to be car owner builder driver and team mates to others ... till i retired from racing of late ... i care not to race at any track who will not tech who will not penalize .

My dad ran IMCA cars at Lone Star, Rose Bowl and Thunder Hill in Jacksonville with the claim rule, and it really did police things a lot. I remember he'd go to the used car auction and bring all these $500 trucks home to steal the motors out of them for that class, haha.
There are 16 million folks within an hour of HMP, the take rate on participation shows the costs involved need to be re-evaluated. I think the shock claim rule is a good idea, but some fine tuning. Didn't help that the rulebook hasn't been updated yet since the hastily copy-pasted one that has some parts that aren't fully written or developed in it, Owen and Karl are great but they're rebuilding what was never really built in the first place. I think it's pretty reasonable to give them props for saying "hey we made an error here, let's make it right".OWEN is known to be fair and may make a mistake but will own up to them ..

Without a claiming rule, they will continue to run these $1000 shocks, $6000 Transmissions and cheated up crates.
WORDS spoken from a true car owner driver team mate .... lol..

Yea, rain element made it interesting for sure. It was manageable to run the race when the rain slowed down and the puddles were gone, unlike when they tried it at COTA. But the COTA deal was part of the learning process. They got it right this time.
rain or dry ..if u are a racer with talent u can over come the problem .. ... dirt racers do that very weekend .start out wet and slick ..

NO!!!
It was alright and only one real train wreck. I loved SVG, with his roots in dirt Sprints/Midgets, was able to get the win over the regulars. That was the best part of all, and golly-gee, he passed everyone clean!....No bump-n-run, no shoving out of the way, no door slamming.....While some, on the other hand, drove as usual, with head up rectum.
PART TIME road course drivers against a full time road course driver .. put him on a circle track he may have issues .. he showed alot of drivers how to do it .. had the two lead cars had tires he would not have had got to them with out a yellow .. .. but i was amazed at his driving abuility and jumping into a reverse car isnt all that easy .. ..... i wont question him on a road course .. who knows just how good that car was or how bad it was .. some drivers have the talent to figure how to get the most ..

WELL the wet track didnt really hurt the race .. it showed who the best drivers were or least the smartest ;; . ..

GLAD MARRY ANN IS OK ..after getting hit and knocked out at the track .. bad deal where four teams are bared ..

While I get your point Josh....I really don't see "William" Wallace going to congratulate Ross after the win....I'd put money on that being Suarez intent and not wrecking Briscoe......Which would be why nothing more has been made of the incident......jmo
if u are going to demand FRONT AND CENTER dont complain ..

Kaulig racing is certainly stirring up a lot of trouble in the Xfinity series, to where the point they are bullies. I know it is exciting and the fans love it, but it gets old for the kid Chandler Smith to thump the bible while acting like a goon.
WHAT and u dont like it .. ..

Money actually goes to some of the charitable NASCAR foundations. Only good part about it for the teams. Drop in the bank for these folks.
wonder if they figured out a way to write that off ..

i like to know where the money goes to .

if owen would have been in the right state growing up . it would not be a surprise he could be running nascar ............... i dont think anyone in this state has that much love and tolerance to put himself through the riggers of promoting tracks like owen has .. . he breaths racing . look at some of the young drivers we have now .. i wont name em but least four i can think of started in go carts just a few years ago and are top compitors now .... owen still does the go carts racing shows in between everything else .. more future drivers ..

CHASE got what he deserved ..A hit like that at cc took my car out for good off .. four just two weeks before my son was born the driver who was paid to wreck me admited it at my shop when he came over to help get my back up car put together . he felt bad for what he did and turned down the money ... he was just to take me out for that night .. that hit put me driver side right into the wall i flat sided the wall .. that one did not feel good at all for me or the car .. .so no sympathy from me on chase or wallace .. hamlin cars could have turned sideways just like mine ....remember davey and petty at the same track .

Surprised no one has mentioned this .. ERIC hit pushed bubba hard during the rain break . mister tough guy bubba didnt do anything about it ..he looked scared .. .. but he will pick on someone smaller .. id bitch slap bubba before he could blink . he is making enemies he thinks his dont stink he has gotten way over his head ... as for hamlin ..he knows him and elliot do not get along on the track he hit chase more that once or crouded if u think if the last three or four laps . chase stayed cool till he was pushed into the wall .. and hamlin another sissy cries about it ... i am sure nascar will penalize chase .. .if not chase would be special ...

FIRST time i watched this race from start to finish . i really never gave much thought those airplanes on the ground were actualy cars .. .. .... u wont get much side by side racing . at that track which as u can see isnt all that safe and smart with aero package and track being flat .. but over all i thought its was a fun race to watch .. i was pulling for that driver in aj foyts car . car was fast he did not get a good restart i thought he had the best car and could have gone by both of the leaders .....but the winner was fun to watch ..i think he had fresher tires and maybe two lap shoot out instead of one may have done the trick .. i noticed alot of drivers were not happy with a one and done lap .. i look at it this way .had they finished riding around for three more laps . none of them would have had one more shot at the leader or moving up a spot or two . .. just riding around dang just one more lap all i needed .. what could have been ..wont know , next year indy should put in a system like nascar just in case of this deal happening again if they do not want to look like they favored a car owner .. i ddnt really think the owner would have pulled that stunt .but who ever has control of the race could have .

Man I don't know. It'll be work but Owen is one I could see to get it going but she sure looks sad right now. Would need more than some weed eaters. Eviction notice for the neighbor would be a start.
TAKE alot of work and money to get it up and running safely ../ i bet alot of electrical work would need to be done .who knows how much was stolen from there .. no i am not counting it could ever happen .. then u have to deal with the city .i dont know if it still has its grandfather claus ..

DID THE OWNER play a PART .i would say 60,40.. leaning towards yes .. but at the same time i would not be happy going there and not see a finish at speed .. outside of weather creation .. i thought there was a min speed rule on restarts .. if so .. the leader should of had on that one chance to get it right .. . that non start cost them an extra on racing lap .. he should have been penalized . plus a tire crossing outside the pit line .. .....i could care who won really but aj foyts driver put on a great show for his team . started pulling for him .. but i have no issue with the winner .it was time .. . i noticed one thing ..it sure didnt hurt to have nascar soft wall at that track .. thanks to nascar ..

WHEN we raced the green 8 purestock at sa kyle and cc even on dirt we had some tires that . i cant remember the brand with out looking at a pic those were bad ass my brother inlaw ownes a tire store and after burning up firestones every night i ask my brother inlaw to find me some legal tires that wont burn up ... .... wow did he joshua ran a second faster than anyone at sas when cris and them opened the track for those what four race weekends .. he won 5 or 6 races two were features .. .. everyone thought the motor was ilegal it was a brand new in the box factory chevy motor from the dealership .. those tires ran almost all season fact he was winning at kyle leading the points and cc speedway winning races there leading the points that year and those tires played a big part of it all .. just to bad he got hit in the right rear tire solid and bent the car where we had no time left in the season to fix the issue she ran loose after that .. other wise he would have won both championships that year .. i like what mike is saying with building a class like that .. .. and james i am in the minorty aswell .i still build most of our motors and tune them the old fashion way .. just finished a 468 13 to 1 twin 750 700 plus hp for the jet boat // still love building our motors .
