I wonder how many drones made unintentional contact...

I don't know but when the Guiness representative said 1499 drones instead of the 1500 lead me to conclude at least one didn't make it.  But then again, they may not gave started with 1500.

with it just  being the wife and i joshua is getting married in november and had moved out a few years ago  . sold all the racing stuff  and no baseball  to finance  , every two years the wife and i take a long trip  out of state  .. ... now  i havet to  decide where to go on our next vacation ..maybe main  lol ..  pick a time when nick is up there that would put a dampner on his trip .. so  help me put  out should we go to daytona or the big track in alabama

I went to Talladega once in 1996. That was the year Earnhardt had the crash that broke his collarbone. I enjoyed it very much and visiting the museum was also something worth attending. I found out why they have seats there as well. It's for the people to sit during cautions. I wished I could tell you about Daytona. Unfortunately, I have never been there. I'm sure it would be worth the visit as too.

  3. My issue is not the racetrack. It's the amount of money it takes to attend a NASCAR race. The cost of getting there. The cost of a hotel room. The cost of food. The cost of food at the track. The cost of getting something off the drivers merchandise trailer.

Why I asked this ? I saw Harold just a few months ago and age/health has caught up with him but 4 years back after reading what HiTech said it may have very well been Harold. I didn't know he had a son that raced the #51 I remember was driven by Mark Wells his brother Gary drove the #54 if memory serves me correct

I believe his son's name was Bubba. That could have been a nickname, I'm not sure.

  5. I believe it was all for how Hamlin raced the 5 car. Of course, Hamlin will never admit he is wrong. One reason a lot of people, me included, does not like him. He cries like a baby when someone does some to him. But if he does something it's always the other driver's fault.

  6. I went to bed prior to the A Main. With as much as they tore up in the other races I didn't want to go to bed at midnight. Other than that, I saw some good racing. I was not aware of how fast they could get a torn-up racecar back in action.

  7. I don't have a dog in the fight, but I say no claim rule. Everyone brings their cars to the track in accordance with the rules supply by the track. If someone appears to be outrunning everyone else due to possibly rule infractions, tech them. If they fail tech, then run them off. No one should have to race and not be competitive because someone has an immoral thought that the rules don't apply to them. A strong tech program and a strong track promoter should be able to enforce this.

  8. I thought the race itself wasn't too bad. What I don't care for is how they had to call the Xfinity race done with not reaching halfway. I was worried the Cup race wasn't going to happen at all. I understand the weather is something nobody can control except for Allen Holt. What would have happened if the Cup race was never able to be ran? Chicago needs their streets back. if they couldn't have got it started would Hamlin been the winner? I know that's a crazy notion but what where their plan if it could not start? No more off weekends until the end of the season. I don't think Chicago would do another set up for the race at the end of the year. Good chance of snow being on the ground by that time.

NOW    he is  going after nascar for double standard   becuase he is black ....... i suppose nascar is now racist .. u know he didnt make any friends after the noose deal .. fact he made alot of  folks mad when it was found that noose was there already  ..and  ran blm on his car .. . i do not and never judge a person by their color  i use to be a fan of his wished him good luck    fact alot of fans turned on him .. .. i judge a person  based on them .. ..i have had enough of that mans attitude and mouth  ..

I could not agree more. At first, I was wanting him to succeed but when he ran BLM on the car, I figured out who he was and what he stood for.

  10. I am a Chase fan but do not agree with what he did. To me, no one needs to intentionally get into another car to gain advantage. One of the main reasons I did not like Earnhardt Sr.

We understand cable costs too much, that is why we went to streaming, it is better on the Pocketbooks.   Now we watch Nascar for half the price.

I envision the streaming services to increase the price when they start getting more customers.

And where's the outrage over Truex driving over Logano's hood?

That's exactly the point I'm trying to make. There are probably people out there who wants to put the blame on Chastain somehow.

on other note I notice bubba isn't happy with 5 th place .. .. boy isn't happy about anything he has turned out to be a big crybaby; I lost respect for him on the noose deal and the BLM on the car ..

    I agree whole heartily.

  14. He definitely has been in a few but I think people are jumping on the bandwagon of blaming everything on Chastain. Sure, some he committed but most are not his fault. Most of the people who loved Earnhardt Sr. thought he could do no wrong. I on the other hand thought he was the dirtiest driver out there and therefore was not a fan. Hamlin wrecks people. Do they go off on him? No. In the future sit back, observe and be objective about what happened. I promise I will do the same.
