MUSKOGEE, Okla. (October 24, 2016) – Outlaw Motor Speedway will close out the 2016 season in grand fashion with this weekend’s Octoberfest event atop the 3/8-mile clay oval near Muskogee.

The three-day tilt includes a Thursday night practice session from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. preceding Friday and Saturday’s racing action that features IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Grand Nationals and Pure Stocks.

Saturday’s finale will have drivers handing Halloween candy out to the kids before battling it out for the $2,000 winner’s share in IMCA Modifieds, $1,000 to win each in the IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and Grand Nationals and $500 to win in Pure Stocks.

After Thursday’s practice, Friday’s card will feature heat races and qualifiers leading into Saturday’s Last Chance races and “A” Mains. Thursday goes green at 7:30 p.m. with Saturday getting an early start at 5:30 p.m.

A handful of recently crowned Outlaws Motor Speedway champions will try to fend off a host of frequent OMS competitors along with a number of invaders.

Oktaha’s Dalton Clay captured the IMCA Modified title at Outlaw Motor Speedway by a hefty 86 point margin over Tulsa’s Leroy Cook, Jr., while Cushing’s Frank Graven took top IMCA Sport Modified honors by a single point over Wagoner’s Logan Ellis with Muskogee’s Dustin Leatherman another two points back in third.

Kevin Flock edged fellow Muskogee racer Mike Wiseman for the IMCA Stock Car title, Muskogee’s Heath Weston outdistanced Dan Leatherman by 18 markers for the Grand National crown and Muskogee’s Susan Lindell beat Boyton’s Jeff Rainbolt by just four points in the Pure Stock title chase.

Tickets for this weekend’s Octoberfest at Outlaw Motor Speedway are $10 for adults on Friday and then $15 on Saturday. Seniors and Military get in for $8 each night with children 6-12 of age just $5 each night and children five and under for free.

Outlaw Motor Speedway is located southwest of Muskogee, OK, on U.S. 69 to the Wainwright exit, then 0.1 miles west. It is approximately 12 miles north of the I-40 and U.S. 69 interchange.
