All drivers will draw 2 lineup pills. The first pill determines your starting position for your heat 1. The 2nd pill determines your starting position for your 2nd heat race. All drivers will run 2 heat races. Drivers will accumulate points based on your finishing position and passing points in both heat races. Points from both heat races will be added together for your final point total from Friday Night. We will advance the top 8 drivers with the most points in each class. Those 8 drivers will lineup in Saturdays A main starting with high point driver on the pole position. All remaining drivers that do no qualify from Friday will still use their Friday night total points for lineup on Saturday. Saturday All cars in all 5 classes will follow the same race format. Drivers from Friday night do not redraw. Drivers from Friday night will use their points from Friday night for their lineup purposes. Drivers that come in on Saturday will draw for their positions but will start behind drivers that have points from Friday night. Each class will have qualifier races. We will advance the top 12 cars from the qualifiers to the A Main behind Fridays qualifiers. This will leave 4 final positions in each class for a Last Chance Qualifier. If any class has 24 cars of less then we will have no need for a Last Chance Qualifier. We will discuss tech procedures at the drivers meeting. Note All pure stocks and street stocks must certify their car prior to your first heat race. We will be verifying that you are not over 53.00 % rear weight. You must come to the scales with a full tank of fuel. We will verify full tanks, if not full you will be turned away. We will tag the weight that is currently in the car. If you move weight in the car or add weight you must get recertified. This means reporting back to the scales so we can retag any weight moved or added along with making sure your not over 53.0%. You can not use mud as an excuse for being over 53% rear weight. 53.01% will be a disqualification. We recommend you get certified prior to your car going onto the track. We also recommend you give yourself plenty of time to go through the certification process. This should not take long. Those that show up late must still go through this process before racing. Any modification or alteration of the tags used for certification will result in a disqualification. All race technical inspections will be conducted by STP officials. Each car is allowed up to 2 people working with officials. Any questions, debates or protest needs to be brought to the head technical official. The STP officials will conduct themselves professionally and will be making sure all cars inspected are within the rules used for this event. STP officials have the final official decision on any questionable issue that may arise.

Tim8Pure
Just curious why you would enforce someone have a full tank of fuel if tech is being done after each race? Some may have a 32 gallon cell and only run 16 gallons of fuel, this forces them to buy another 16 gallons....I do understand in a way that you could be over 53% at beginning of race and be less after burnoff. Your event, your rules but it's sure deterring us guys from coming down for this race from our area. Eventually South Texas will have to get up to date on the faster, lighter cars that are everywhere else...
Tim8Pure
These are all just my opinions of course, not bashing your race or asking to change for anyone in particular, just concerns

BJ34
Its because lately some people have been converting limited modifieds into street stock by putting after market fenders and plastic bumpers (might be more idk haven't looked at one) and the have more rear percentage then most older street stock so they're trying to give older cars a chance. Btw I dont own or race a street stock throwing my two cents in.
Racer26
Simple. Enough fuel after the race to have less than 53% and your legal. We run ours full of fuel to get as much as possible. Still under 53% but it's a pure stock.
SouthTxPromotions
We don't care what the percentage is after the race. We simply dont want over 53% before the race.
BobbyJack
any purestock that is 53% should be a streetstock in my opinion anyway. I am working on the second in points at SOS car #88 trying to get more rear %. its only 52 % rear. yee hah.
SouthTxPromotions
Last years December shootout race there was 2 cars that came from out of town as factory stocks that fit our rules and had over 53% rear weight. I'm sure those running locally this doesn't matter much due to them not being close anyways on pure stocks. So this should be easy and simple for pure stocks with no issues.
