rebelracewriter Posted August 26, 2014 Report Share Posted August 26, 2014 Tri-State Speedway's "Battle of the Borders" boasts $4,000 to win for USRA Modifieds POCOLA, Okla. -- A whopping $4,000 is up for grabs for the winner of the USRA Modified main event when JRT Trucking presents the Battle of the Borders at the Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Okla., on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 4-6. Thursday will be an open practice beginning at 6 p.m. Admission to the grandstands is free and pit passes are $15. On Friday, USRA Modifieds will compete in qualifying heats and features. Also on the racing card will be the Oil Capital Racing Series (OCRS) Sprint Cars presented by Champ Hinton Enterprises, plus a full show for E/360 Mods and Factory Stocks. Saturday's finale will feature "B" qualifiers and the 40-lap, $4,000-to-win "A" main for the USRA Modifieds with a full show of USRA B-Mods, Pure Stocks, Street Stocks and FWDs also on tap. In addition to the $4,000 top prize, Saturday's USRA Modified "A" main will pay a minimum of $400 to start. Grandstand tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for kids each day. Pit passes are $35 each day. The pit gate opens at 4 p.m. and spectator gates swing open at 5 p.m. each day with the first green flag at 7:30. All USRA Modified rules apply and USRA Weekly Racing Series national points will be awarded. The entry fee is $150 if post-marked by Aug. 30 or $175 after that date.
