sosMedia Posted December 7, 2012 Report Share Posted December 7, 2012 While we haven't posted the full schedule for 2013, we can tell you now that we will be having the ASCS Sprint Cars for the first time ever at Shady Oaks Speedway on May 25th. The sprints ask for a tacky track and they will be in heaven at Shady Oaks Speedway. The red clay will be just what the doctor ordered and they will be setting some blistering speeds. We would expect speeds well over 120 to 130 mph on the 3/8 mile high banked red clay track. A dream for many since the speedway reopened, it will now be a reality. Ray Allen Kulhanek was the 2012 ASCS Gulf South Series Champion and will be looking to defend in 2013. A must see show that will leave you awestruck when the ASCS Sprint Cars hit the Shady Oaks surface. Even the very infrequent fan will want to be there for this one night stop in Goliad. This will hopefully be a standing room only event and those who don't get to make it will wish they had been there. She'll have T-Shirts and Royal Purple Swag on Hand. Looking forward to running in Goliad, and the entire ASCS Gulf South Crews and Drivers are coming to put on a great show for the folks of South Texas.
