rebelracewriter Posted October 9, 2011 Report Share Posted October 9, 2011 If you didnt watch this race you missed one helluva race.....after over 6 hours of racing the MOV was a car length....Craig Lowndes ran down Garth Tander from 5 seconds back and gave him a run at the end....Some NA$CAR team needs to sign that guy as a road course ringer....He drove the freaking wheels off that car reeling the leader in.... We had a "The Bathurst 1000 in on TV party" and at 1am after 7 hours of...umm...adult beverages everyone was on their feet for the last 30 minutes! rebelracewriter Posted October 9, 2011 Report Share Posted October 9, 2011 Let's hope with next years "car of the future" that they don't follow in NA$CAR's footsteps with indistinguishable cars......They will get Ford 9" rear ends and move fuel cell forward more and perhaps eliminate the fires lkike we saw last night and a month or so ago. gen11 Posted October 12, 2011 Report Share Posted October 12, 2011 I'm glad to see that you guys enjoyed that race. Australian V8 Supercars have had some of the best racing for years now. Chris Lowndes was Marcus Ambrose's chief rival when he was there and they are some of the hardest racers in the business. I hope that the series going mainstream and coming to Austin doesn't ruin it.
