Scary that the knock went as long as it did before shutdown. For that to happen at the rpm a diesel works at demonstrates that it was probably driven for quite a few miles with no oil pressure. Even scarier that I could get hit in the head by a piston while just cruzin along on the road with some idiot that 1) does not stay up on maint and 2) does not notice all the alarms going off.
