txtom
Interesting concept, using the mini cup cars. But can anyone tell what well-known former late model series held a race in a well-known indoor football field?
tqj3
Late Models? No. Midgets at the Astrodome, yes.

txtom
]You got the place and the winner correct, Craig. The original ASA ran one race at the Silverdome on 27 February, 1983, and it was the 83 season opener. Here is a pic of some of the action:

hray
Tom, Jason has a picture (framed in his office) of a stock car race in 1952 in Soldier Field, Chicago. Also, the cars look like a Bandolero size car but with a mini cup type of chassis.
