ROMCO SERIES TO APPEAR TWICE IN 2004 AT TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

FORT WORTH-DALLAS (January 15, 2004) – The ROMCO Super Late Model Series will double its appearances at Texas Motor Speedway in 2004, racing on the 1.5-mile superspeedway Friday, April 2 and Saturday, June 12. The pavement late model series has made single appearances at Texas Motor Speedway in 2002 and 2003.

The ROMCO Super Late Model Series will join the inaugural Crown Royal International Race of Champions event on the superspeedway Friday night, April 2 as part of the Samsung/RadioShack 500 weekend. The June 12 race will be presented prior to the Bombardier 500 Indy Racing League IndyCar Series event. Both 2004 ROMCO races will be 100 miles with a one-hour time limit.

“The chance for the drivers in our series to race on the same night as superstars in the Crown Royal International Race of Champions is incredible,” said series president Robert Mullins. “It is an exciting opportunity for the ROMCO series and our teams. We are extremely proud to be racing twice in 2004 at Texas Motor Speedway.”

Chris Davidson won the inaugural ROMCO Super Late Model Series race at Texas Motor Speedway in 2002. His father, Greg, led the ROMCO field in 2003.

“The ROMCO Super Late Model Series has produced tremendous racing in their appearances at Texas Motor Speedway,” said speedway general manager Eddie Gossage. “The series has the top short-track drivers in the region and this will be an excellent opportunity for them to display their talents.

“Our fans are the big winners. They get to see even more great racing action as part of their race-day ticket.”

The April 2 Crown Royal International Race of Champions/ROMCO doubleheader is free to Texas Motor Speedway season ticket holders. The June 12 race is included in the Bombardier 500 ticket. For ticket information, call (817) 215-8500.

I'll just happen to be there! Any idea how much tickets will be? Any type of discounts available? Hate to sound like a tightwad but with campsight, RV rental, Busch and NASCAR tickets I have a small fortune invested already.
