Did you find an old speedway directory with that "something" Ridge, or Ridge "something" speedway that was never anything more than some guys big dream? ProTree Posted July 8, 2008 Report Share Posted July 8, 2008 i remember in the mid 90's when a guy in copperas cove was building a dirt track.went and saw for myself.on the hiway outside cove on the way to gatesville.had it cut in and it was going to be wide.he took me for a walk all the way around it.even had a lot of old mcdonalds restaurant playground equipment he obtained. he was going to use it to build a playground for the kids.believe at the time he was having problems with drainage and where or how far or how deep or something with the county,city or somebody.always wondered what happened on that deal.
