REVRacing26
I'm going to be moving from Houston to Odessa/Midland area here in the next month or so, I wanted to know where the nearest tracks are. Dirt or asphalt, it doesnt matter I just got to find me some racing when I get down there!
rebelracewriter
Champion Spwy.---Midland El Paso Spwy. Park---El Paso Abilene Spwy.---Abilene Racers Edge Spwy.---San Angelo(heard "rumors" of them running this year...not confirmed) Cardinal Spwy.--- Eunice, NM. Southern New Mexico Spwy.---Las Cruces, NM. I'm fairly certain most have web sites....the only sites I haven't looked for before are Cardinal and Racers Edge, but the other four for sure. There used to be drag strips in Penwell(near Odessa) and Wall(near San Angelo) not sure if either of them are still running. The drag strip in Abilene closed.....too bad, was a real nice new joint. Jamie
I know for a fact that SNMS is a class act track. I lived there for about 2 years when I was in the army. The owners there currently on El Paso Speedway Park but they are trying to sell that one. At SNMS twice a year they have a $10,000 to win modified race. I have a friend there that does the video for the two tracks, here is a thread of one of the races out there, http://txsz.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=22811. Good racing out there.
