Dog gone!

I think "King," the loyal Huskie belonging Sgt. Preston of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, was the lead prosecutor in this case.

The radio show "Sgt. Preston of the Yukon" was well before the days of TV, but my visual memory of King is more vivid than any TV image could ever be...

"On King! On you Huskies!"

They Just announced on the "Ticket" 760am that Vick's total cost for killing dogs is over $140,000,000.He will be almost through his 20 months(good behavoir) when his sentencing for the state charges are handed down.Vick is facing a maximum of 24 years for cruelty to animals in the state of Virginia. That sentence will be decided by the jurors in the state trial, unlike the Judge's sentence in the federal case.I would have to say Vick is doomed....just like the dogs.....except he gets to live.

WOW! If nothing else we found out Nick is older than TV.

The first public demonstration of television was in a department store, Selfridges, in London England, by Mr Baird himself. This took place in 1925. The system was successful enough to become commercialised, and the BBC began the world's first regular television broadcasts, using the Baird system, in 1936. By 1939, there were over 20,000 TV sets in use in and around London. A year later, in 1940, baird demonstrated a set which was capable of receiving colour pictures and stereo sound!
