NeilTPS Posted October 12, 2007 Report Share Posted October 12, 2007 TPS 2007 Awards Dinner Scheduled November 10 The Texas Pro Sedans Series 2007 annual Awards Dinner will be held for TPS Members, Race Officials, Sponsors and TPS fans near San Antonio on Saturday evening, November 10. Day/Date………Saturday, November 10, 2007 Time………….... 6:00pm – dinner orders (optional) taken, 7:00pm/8:30pm - program and awards presented Place………….. .Carlos Kelly’s Restaurant & Party House (210/648-4184) Location………. 6846 Highway 87 East, San Antonio, Texas (south side of Hwy 87) Directions……. 2.2 miles outside Loop 410 at Rigsby on Highway 87 East Dinner Menu….Three menu selections (15% tip included, no admission charge) Dress code…….Casual TPS Race Director Neil Upchurch will present a race-by-race season summary and comments. TPS Driver Bruce Mabrito will present his annual special TPS post season essay. Guest speaker, Mary Ann Naumann, THR Owner will deliver an important special address. Receiving championship awards will be the 2007 Texas Pro Sedans Champion Sergio Hexsel and the 2007 TPS “Rookie of the Year” Ja Lane. They will be presented with TPS Champions Plaques. Both drivers will also receive Hoosier Racing Tire Jackets. Several Texas Pro Sedan Sponsors, Host Track and Members will receive Appreciation Awards. 2008 Rules & Specifications will be distributed and 2008 Membership Applications received at a short business meeting following the awards portion of the program schedule. All TPS members, officials and sponsors are urged to attend this season ending event. Texas Pro Sedans member attendance at this dinner will put a proper finishing touch on TPS’s 32nd consecutive season and will initiate the 33rd season of Texas Pro Sedans racing. Have any Corpus drivers RSVP for the awards banquet? yep she has ..didnt work out for us this year ..wrecked car busted block kinda put a hamper to it ..bottom line cost .......planning to race is one thing makeing it out is another ...... we may have been at the last race .but jessie vacation came at the same time .and they already had plans tobe somewhere else on that date ..... the good thing is we were able to get the car back on the track ..and got lisa.s car back on the track ..and now we dont have to do much off season ..other than paint them .and some miner miner things ....we can start picking the dates soon that we want to race tps ..aswell as cc ..the one thing i really want to do is practice our cars at kyle on non race dates ..we have never gotten to do that ..just had to run what we brung .....i have some adjustments other things i want to try .....bet i know one thing is for sure ..ill make it to a tps race before those two others do .... The price final and includes the entree, Tax and Gratuity. Participants will have a choice of: Chicken Fried Steak - $11.60 Grilled Marinated Chicken Breast - $13.68 Catfish Filet (farm raised) - $14.42 All orders include baked potato, onion rings, homemade rolls, a tossed salad or a visit to the salad bar and tea or coffee. I called Carlos Kelly's Restaurant. The answer is: Bud Light and most other beer is $3.00 per bottle except for Coors Light @ $2.00 and Lone Star @ 1.25 per bottle.
