dancer52
I have posted a link to the arklatex tracks factory stocks results for a regular night, this track has more factory stock racecars than most tracks here have cars....maybe you guys need to look at their rules. They have so many cars they had 3 a-mains over 60 cars in one class, and from what I hear the track across town has as many in ther factory stock class. http://elbowsup.donutsdesigns.com/phpbb/vi...opic.php?t=6250
97car
It is called a good promoter and driver Gene Boyter,I beleive he placed 2nd and TDS down here in the mods when the track was leased for a ASCS show. I think it might be by the SIMS rules.
dancer52
A good promoter can only do so much, he has to have a good set of rules. Around here every track has a different rule and most are way out of hand, Gene said he adopted these rules from the track across town.
maz1438
You might also want to look into it even further and you will probably see that there purses are also kind of low. JMO
ACE44
So it seems to me racers are willing to race as long as the rules are simalar and tech is consistant, even for lower payout. Hmm intresting!
HiTech
you have that many cars the pay out should be up to standards .what is the fan count .car count brings fans rules and tecking and decent money brings cars .and a good promotor gets it all togetther . maz1438
In less it as change alot since last year, they always usually have a low turn out at the gates. I have been to that track many of times and they always have car count, but never really a large fan base. It isnt a real fan friendly track either. dancer52
I do belive the normal payout is only 150 to win....but I dont care...bet you could have less that 1000$ in a front running car...and get to run with more that 15 cars. Sounds like a good deal to me.
RockStan
i am with you aj i would drive 5 hours to a track for a payout of 50 bucks i dont care if i raced for nothin just because most dirt tracks have no political bs no favorites and all fun damn i love dirt................................ oh yea i am about to get the black beast back out and come play with yall again

dancer52
I didnt just mean a common set of rules....I do like imca hobby and stock car rules...but they are both too expensive for a low level class. I mean a GOOD set of rules. grandstocks are close, but the stupid wheelbase rules throw them out. (not to mention most of the cages are not safe) but for dirt these are the best pure stock rules that I have ever seen. I am sure some form of these would work for asphalt....(but real race cars run on dirt)...lol
HiTech
real race cars run on dirt . lol i always thought a race car needed a driver lol they used to say dirt where the boys play . and i ran dirt . but the men play on the asphault .
