Local Drivers History

PAPA

Recommended Posts

I for one would love to know more about our local(Texas) drivers. When did they start racing. What have they raced over the years. Where have they raced. Where are they now. Anything about them would be great. Even our curent drivers. And the crews. Remember...txtom, Neil and Nick wont be around for ever to tell us about these guys and gals.

Come on! There has to be someone that wants to tell us about their favorite driver. How about your dad/mom or brother/sister? Maybe a husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend? It doesnt have to be a driver/crew from the past. A Bio on the current drivers would be super. Just a few stats or a whole page or two. You can add info as you remember it. I hear about drivers from tracks and towns other than SAS but I dont know who they are. Here is your chance to write a little history. Thanks again

Papa, seems like nobody wants to go first on these things, so I'll try to jump-start it. Hope Jean doesn't shoot me. I came across this on the web the other day, totally by accident. I found it to be very interesting and VERY well done. Bio on Jean Nesser: (Just click on the link)

Slick is still doing the wrecking yard thing. He's got 2 All Pro cars (Frankie Grill and Howe) and a bunch of parts that he'd like to sell. The last time he ran, me and Yeats went to Memphis to help out. He was competitive for a while but it's hard when you don't do it every week. He also receintely became a grand father with his youngest son.

  • 2 weeks later...

Ok PAPA...My (soon-to-be ex) husband got into the TDCA in 2002 (the week of our honeymoon)...I began racing Dwarf Cars in Powder Puffs in 2003. I won 2 of them. I was also a TDCA Official for the 02, 03, 04, and 05 seasons. In 2005 I was one of two women racing in the TDCA, finished 5th in points for my rookie year, and had a BLAST racing!!

Just sold race car two weeks ago, and am having withdrawls. I hope to get to a track in 06 to watch, enjoy, and have a cold one (or three)!!

Hope this gets the ball rolling for you!! ;)
