watching a big event from the stand can be boring. they have to take time to fix the track to give the racers a good surface. boone does the same thing at the super nationals. i thought the racing was great.

September 13 (Friday)They say everything is bigger in Texas! This weekend, at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track, over 400 race teams are competing in the Southern Dirt Track Championship presented by Smiley’s Racing Products! Friday the 13th was Night 1 of racing for three classes of cars attempting to qualify for Saturday’s feature races. The three classes of cars included the Modifieds, Limited Modifieds and the Factory Stocks! Also on Friday’s racing program were the Lucas Oil COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Late Models and the 305 Sprint Cars, who ran a complete program with $3,500 going to the Late Model feature winner and $1,000 going to the Sprint Car feature winner. Night 2 of racing at the Southern Dirt Track Championship continues Saturday, September 14, with last chance qualifiers and Champions Crowned in all classes! The SDS Late Models will be running for $5,000 to win and the Sprint Cars will be running for $1,250 to win! Check out the racing action from Friday’s exciting show below:
Late Model $3,500 Feature Winner: Cade Dillard, No. 97, was your feature winner! Payton Looney, No. 15, was second, Colton Horner, No. 56jr, was third, John Whittington, No. 5w, was fourth and Timothy Culp, No. c8, was fifth. Jesse Stovall, Hunter Rasdon, Brian Rickman, Patrik Daniel, and B.J. Robinson, rounded out your top ten. Twenty-two cars started the feature. There were forty-two Late Models in the pits.
Morgan Bagley, No. 14, had a strong start, but settled for twelfth.

Sprint Car $1,000 Feature Winner: Marcus Thomas, No. 15t, was your feature winner! Chad Wilson, No. 20, was second, and Kevin Ramey, No. 7m, was third. Twenty-five Sprints started the feature.
Chad Wilson Motorsports had a solid second place finish.
Kevin Ramey, No. 7m, had a top three finish.

I just got a call from the Sprint Car promoter and one of their driver’s lost their father this week and they scheduled the funeral for Saturday. The entire group will be going to the funeral and not able to make it. With the big races happening at Texas Motor Speedway and Cotton Bowl Speedway, we have made the decision to cancel Saturday’s race. Our final points night will be held on 9/28 and will be for double points. We apologize for the short notice and want to extend our sympathy and prayers to their race family.

August 23 (Friday)2019 Track Champions were crowned at Heart O Texas Speedway, in Elm Mott, TX, Friday night! It was the final points night of the season for all the weekly classes including the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Southern SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, Jr. Limiteds and Sport Compacts. Friday’s Showcard also included the Race of Champions, Mechanics Race, and a Powder Puff Race. Topping off the evening was the wild and crazy Trailer Race! Check out all the exciting racing action and family fun from Friday night below:
Modified Feature Winner: Kevin Green, No. 5, was your IMCA Modified feature winner and the 2019 IMCA Modified Champion! This is the second Modified Championship that Kevin has won in four years at Heart O Texas Speedway. Eric Tomlinson, No. 45t, was second, Justin Radcliff, No. 11j, was third, David Goode Jr., No. 7g, was fourth and P.J. Ebert, No. 707, was fifth. Chris Morris, Cody Daniel, Donald Banker, Brent Gilliam, Jason Kingrey, and Derek Scott Jr., rounded out the field. Eleven cars started the feature.

ok guys lets stop bashing the people that run Factory stock. Its fine if factory stocks are not your type of racing. They are a fun class to watch and there is a lot of them that nice cars that are fast. The sport Modified would also be a good cross over. This topic was started to ask what class could be an asphalt / dirt cross over. Not which class that is already on the track should be boosted up. If Gina or any one wants to start a topic about the current classes please do. Also I can say that most "dirt" racers do not have an issue with "asphalt" racing. A lot of us wouldn't mind giving it a try but for myself I cant afford it. There were several "dirt" guys that converted their cars to run at HMP. we need to drop this "dirt" vs "asphalt" conversation because at the end of the day they are both just racing. I am a fan of Racing regardless if it is the two mentioned above or Drag, road coarse, off road, or any other. The price of cars today are a reflection of the market. The price of new cars are up and the cost of used cars are down. Many people prefer the new cars because they don't feel a used car can be as competitive. We control what we want to spend. In closing lets keep this on topic and if a certain type of racing is not your favorite doesn't mean that you need to down grade the people that do it or love it.
