  1. I'm trying to figure out how someone can not like Larson.

Chili Bowl Champion, Knoxville Nationals Champion, Kings Royal Champion, Prairie Dirt Classic Champion, All Star Race Winner, 10 Cup Wins, Nascar Champion.  I mean you are seeing something right now that you will probably never witness again.

An why is it every time something like this happens you conspiracy people have to come out and say the stuff you do? Give it a rest if you think NASCAR is nothing but one big conspiracy just move on to another sport and quit watching.

  2. Me personally, I thought it was a good race. Better than how the oval race would of been.  Yeah the curbing got tore up and that i will put on nascar because if they put bigger curbs the drivers would be running over them as much and tearing them up.  Now after they removed the curbing that was on the drivers just like Austin Dillon said. All of those drivers were warned that the curb was there and they still chose to bounce off of it. Now I will say I dont think Bubba should of been penalized for cutting the track he knew he wasnt going to make it through there and he went around and lost spots in the process.  If he would of went straight he would of Evel Knieveled that corner and caused a bigger wreck.

In all honesty get away from Indy go to IRP or go somewhere else, Indy is for Indy cars not for the cup cars.

I watched the race from Knoxville from start to finish and thought it went really well however I'm a little confused.

I thought this series was for seniors or drivers that no longer raced in the cup series but noticed that Natalie Decker

was in this race. I guess its not "limited" to just superstars who retired . I also noticed that Tony Stewart (who won) exited his car

via a workable drivers side door. Guess I have to get used to this but the racing was VERY good.

Natalie Decker was not in the race.  It was Hailie Deegan who was racing.  SRX doesnt have enough spare cars for Natalie Decker to get behind the wheel of one of their cars. It is not just limited to retired superstars, they bring in locals and some new age racers to compete against the superstars. Like the Slinger race they have a car set aside the for winner of the Slinger late model race before the SRX race. I like the racing just wish they would get someone other than Danica in the booth she doesnt do Alan Bestwick justist.

James, If I announced plans on the various racing social media platforms that I was building a brand-new, paved, half-mile track just east of San Antonio and it all depended on whether enough racers committed on social media to race at my track, the response would convince me I that needed to enlarge the plans for the pits!  But experience teaches that internet racers and real racers are not the same demographic.  Real racers will wait until the track is actually built with opening night right around the corner before they will truly commit.

I've been told many times by people about a track being built and I have always said I will believe it when I buy a pit pass and drive through the gate multiple times I will believe it.  I know of two tracks dad went and tested at that were built never really saw more than 1 race or even a race.

  6. I dont know how many of you have seen this show that Dale Jr. and Matthew Dillner are doing on the Peacock. Its a really cool show that that talks about the background of these old tracks.  Well it looks like they are in Texas filming the second season.  Dale Jr posted a picture on his instagram account and you could tell they were at Texas World by seeing the wall in the back ground.

  7. One of the biggest things I have seen when a track is talked about being built or being revived is the racers themselves are the problems.  The moment someone mentions it they come in saying you need to run this class, or have these rules and then another racer comes in and says the opposite and then the argument ensues. I witnessed this with the Battleground deal. They just cleaned out the lot and mentioned their plans and even said dont ask or suggest about classes or rules at this time and then there is 20 comments below the post that are saying you need this class and these rules. Racers have been burned by these we are going to do this and that and some people might of had good intentions but in the end racers are their own worst enemy.

Ok I have to know this Moon story!

Is this the Matt Dillner?  You know San Antonio Speedway would be the perfect track for Lost Speedways. If you are adding it to Lost Speedways you need to talk to Nick Holt and Tom Taylor those two could tell you everything you need to know about that track.

The Chase definantly screwed Harvick. I think the regular season point winner should have an automatic slot in the Finals. But Elliott  earned the title and deserves it.

Nope I disagree 100% on this statement.  That would be like giving who ever had the best record in baseball, football, hockey, basketball a free ride into the championship game. I think personally and there is a few others in the industry that feel the points accumulated through out the season should be wiped clean after the first round and everyone is on the same page.  I most top sports your teams with best records have a first round bye so why not take the top 4 in regular season points and they get a bye to the second round and then everyone starts fresh.

Out of curiosity, I wonder how many people voted for Biden just to get Trump out like they voted Trump to avoid Hilary four years ago? Was it really about Biden or just a hatred for Trump? Trump's positive effects are pretty evident in some aspects, for example, when was the last time we paid nearly $3/gallon for gas? Even in the midst of a pandemic, unemployment rate is what, 7%? Did anyone pay a fine the past few years for HAVING medical care that wasn't government approved? Is Trump a God or savior or even well spoken? No of course not. Biden said all the right things in his speech but that's expected from a career politician. Now we can only hope he can do what he said. The division didn't start with Trump, not since 2001 have we really felt united. The past 4 years were a witch hunt that nothing was proven or stuck. Biden has his skeletons in the closet too so we shall see. That being said, I hope he is successful on the unity aspect and helping us get out of this pandemic but it won't be a President to do that, it'll be science that will take time or simply natural occurrence. I don't see Biden being impeached or raked over the coals like Trump was his tenure unless Pelosi goes further off her rocker and seizes power for herself but then again, I doubt that since Biden is a yes man and will try to do whatever her and fellow Democrats tell him to do. People want Trump out because he wasn't one of them and defied the typical political rhetoric. He isn't without fault but don't think he was the horrible monster everyone makes it out to be imo. Let's see what the next 4 years brings and see if the right choice was made. Ultimately, we can't stop it and if Trump is successful overturning the results, no one will trust the election system again or Democrats for that matter and if not, he'll look just as silly as those that have been trying to crucify him his whole term.

I posted something similar on my facebook page.  What was the split of people who voted for actual policies, politics, and programs versus pure hatred for the other party and this goes for both sides.  My feeling is that it is a 30/70 split even though I think that is a little high.

I will say this, I think it is funny that before the election businesses in downtown were boarding up windows and being prepared for looting and riots. When there was no decision who took to the streets, the Biden supporters to count every vote. Then Biden is named president elect and nothing happened no riots, no looting. If you to flip the script there would of been mass chaos in major cities. I see pictures from a protest or what ever you want to call it on Saturday in down town Austin that had Trump people on one side and Biden people on the other. Trump people are holding their signs and flags,  Biden people doing the same but their signs say F*** Trump and tearing his signs in half and just being nasty about it. So just notice and watch all stuff that happens and who the agitators are.

  11. If you want to talk about a screw job look at the rookie points this season.  Cole Custer automatically won Rookie of the Year because he won a race and moved into the chase so the worst he could finish in points is 16th. The best Christopher Bell or Tyler Reddick could finish is 17th even though when they did the points reset both of those drivers were ahead of Cole Custer.

  12. King237 I dont know if you listen to Podcasts or not but if you listen to the Door Bumper Clear Podcast which is Brett Griffin (Bowyer Spotter), TJ Majors (Logano Spotter), and Freddie Kraft (B. Wallace Spotter) you can learn a lot about the sport and what goes on you dont read about.  Most of the the time when they put something out rumor wise it ends up being pretty true.

  13. Here's some things to look at:

Cole Custer:  Father Joe Custer President of Stewart Haas Racing

Austin Cindric: Father Tim Cindric President of Penske Racing

Austin and Ty Dillon: Grandfather Richard Childress

One of the reasons Matt still has this ride for next year is because of the Gen 7 car.  If the Gen 7 car would of came out next year like it was supposed to he would of lost his seat to Cindric a year earlier.  Since it got delayed they waited to bring him up. It doesnt make any sense to bring someone up this year and put them at the cup level in cars that are going to be obsolete in 2022.  So we hold him up 1 more year then move him up that way he learns the cup stuff in the new car.  Now remember Brad K signed a 1 year contract so he could finish out 2021 and retire and then bring Matty D into his seat in 2022 but Matty D has to prove himself.  He needs to drive the remaining races this year and all of next year the way he raced the last 2.

Don't be surprised if Ty Dillon gets the 43 seat.  I think they are waiting to announce that seat until something is done at Hendrick.  RPM and RCR have the technical alliance so it would make sense to bring Ty into that with pressure from grandpa.  Now the only way that doesn't work is how much money Erik Jones brings to the table.  I don't know if Craftsman and Stanley are JGR sponsors or Erik Jones sponsors. All the sponsors that Bubba picked up this year (Door Dash, Columbia, Coca Cola, McDonalds and maybe CashApp) from what I have heard are going with him now I might be wrong but that is happening a lot more these days.  The driver is getting the sponsor not the car so that makes the difference.

Kyle Larson will most likely go to the Hendrick stable with speculation it will be #5 car.  Rick really wants Kyle to drive for him and Chevrolet has reportedly turn their course after several meetings with Kyle and Rick. It will be interesting to see what his contract would say about him running the sprint car and midgets.  95% of open wheel fans would love to see Kyle go to SHR and drive the 14 but Ford reportedly wanted to still distance themselves from Kyle and with Chase Briscoe waiting in the wings it would make sense to put Briscoe in the 14.  Hendrick doesn't really have any Cup ready talent to move from the xfinity side which is JRM.  Noah Gragson signed another year, Allgaier I believe is signed for another year, Michael Annett has a ride because his family keeps pumping money into his seat and their 4th car had a myriad of drivers this year in the car.

Remember in 2015 when Shrub Busch broke his leg and NA$CAR made an exception to get him into the Chase  - and he won the title, despite missing a large percentage of the races? Did they make the same exception for Ryan Newman after his injury this year (also in the Daytona 500)? nope...   JGRPrivelege is right.

Not valid argument Ryan Newman only ended up missing 3 races due to Covid-19 and is still in the top 30 in points, now if there never would of been Covid and the season continued they would of granted him the same opportunity. When Ryan Newman came back to the first race at Darlington he was still 28th in points missing 3 races. Knowing the driver Ryan is there was no need to offer that deal for him.  For context JH Nemecheck, Ty Dillon, Ryan Preece, Corey Lajoie, Daniel Suarez, Brennan Poole and Quinn Hoff have all run 31 races except for Suarez and Poole who have run 30 and Newman is still ahead of them.  Kyle Larson has only run 4 races and is still 34th in points.

Busch in 2015 missed the first 11 races and then came back for the AllStar race and first points paying race was the Coca-Cola 600 race #12. His first win came at Sonoma that year race #16. Remember he had to be in the top 30 in points and have a race win before they would let him in to the playoff. He didn't get into the top 30 in points until he finished 2nd at the Watkins Glen Race race #22.  The last race of the regular season he was 25th in points with 1 win. 75 points over 30th place.

  15. I know what they are wanting to do but to me this is a bad idea.  There is so many great dirt tacks in this country that could facilitate this race way better.

Eldora, Knoxville, Port Royal, Williams Grove, Perris just to name a few.

Josh, any idea what the actual issues are?  I know that gov't entities can make life very miserable for racing facilities having witnessed 1st hand what the City of San Antonio did to San Antonio Speedway a few years back.

One issue was because the insurance didnt list Bexar county and USAC has already remedied this. The other items they dont know.  The president of the club was working on it.

The track has been there for 61 years and as of right now 11/29 i believe is when their lease is up
