  1. $28,000,000 purse for the Daytona 500. What a great job man
  2. By the way, they can get rid of the dirt from Bristol, what a gimmick that was, dirt racing at Bristol. Take that spring race away from Bristol and lets go to the Nashville Fairgrounds. I hope they finally get approval.
  3. I let Nascar know that it is ok with me to get the clash out of there. As a matter of fact, no need in the clash any longer. Those days are over. I wish that they would put the money into a different short track around the country each year and run it there. Just think what we could do with a million bucks plus or so at a place like San Antonio Speedway or freshening up HMP. Maybe Five Flags could get a face lift and Mobile could actually get restrooms.
  4. Pro Late Model and Super Late Model racing is booming everywhere. I sure wish that we could get some of that down here in Texas.
  5. Now we have to buy another subscription to watch the ASA tour. Floracing, Racing America, Race On Texas, now Tracktv. No need to ever go see another race. Stay at home at watch 4 at a time
  6. I hope that you are right, but I doubt we see 5-10 East cars go to the West series all year long much less per race. The West has a pretty good pool of Pro Lates to pull from. The guys on the east coast have plenty of places to race without pulling across the country. That is unless there was some outrageous purse. Who knows, maybe we could get them to do a combined race half way in the middle at COTA. Wink Wink
  7. Yes, I do not think the Cars Tour Intent was to pull anyone from the East Coast. I seriously doubt any would make that haul under any circumstance.
  8. I see Tavo was hurt so bad he usually has a suite there at COTA. Does he have one at the dirt track?
  9. Who know, according to the Haters, you should have posted it in the tracks forum page about 20 down. LOL They try to control the board so I just troll them and watch their response. This is the Texas Auto Racing forum, so it is all good unless you are me.
  10. This is the topic of the subject This will be the biggest race in Texas in 2024 As far as I know, COTA is in Austin Texas and F1 races there. My opinion is that is the biggest race in Texas in 2024. I really do not care what your opinion is, it means less than nothing to me. I understand Arob likes it and that is cool, that is his opinion and I respect that.
  11. F1 at the Circuit of Americas draws a crown of 430,000 for its event. There is lots of Entertainment and fine looking chicks there at COTA. It is so cool to watch the $10 to $12 million dollar cars roar by.
  12. Tony Stewart hates Nascar. It made him rich, but he still hates it. He devotes his time to the NHRA deal now. His old lady owns him. I wish that Mr Haas would get rid of Tony. That team is horrible in it current state. JR, Harvick and Mr Haas sounds much better to me. But, what I think doesnt matter.
  13. Tony is losing drivers and sponsors left and right on his nascar deal. Joey Logano landed Hunt Bros Pizza and Busch went to the Watermelon man. Smithfield foods is gone now that Eric is going away. I wonder if they follow him to Joe Gibbs racing? Those big 3 sponsors will be hard to replace. I wouldnt be surprised if they go another year without a win or go down to a 3 car operation.
  14. It looks like Nascar may be around a little while longer. WINK WINK Over a billion per year, yes, bbbbbbbiiilllion """"" While the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by NASCAR, according to Sports Business Journal, the media rights deal will be for a total of $1.1 billion per year, which equates to a total of $7.7 billion over the duration of the deal. The $1.1 billion per year price tag is up from roughly $820 million per year from the previous NASCAR media rights deal, which is set to expire at the conclusion of the 2024 season.
  15. What a race man, that was awesome. The two tough guys who like to fight wrecked each other. I wonder why they didnt fight? Of course, they only fight guys that wont fight back. Just glad the two coward wrecked. Great Job Majeski.
  16. That was a pretty good race to watch. Honeycutt run him up the track going for the win. Just wish that he would have waited until the last lap. Maybe he could have won it. He did run real well there, good for him.
  17. Some changed, but Deegan is still tearing things up but marketing well into a full time Xfinity ride. Salesmen/women are more successful as drivers than gear heads. It has always been that way and will always be that way. People just didnt understand it that way. The older we get, we realize that the more money that you throw at it the faster you will be. Not many broke people have won championships in anything. If you are racing, you are wealthy to someone. Some cant afford a bus ticket to go watch. Be grateful, using the poor me card is ludicrous
  18. Pop Pop has every right to be pissed off, angry and a jerk. It is his deal to do as he pleases. Him and Andy Petree were wrong in their assessment of the situation. Pop Pop has every right to practice Nepotism and have Austin run 30th in points. That is why RCR is a low end operation and will always be. Kyle Busch is already claiming they cant get the best mechanics due to their location. Cough Cough You can bet Mr Hendrick, Roger Penske and Joe Gibbs would have never handled the situation like Pop Pop did. They have a little class.
  19. First off, I was an Austin Hill fan before this. The disaster more his fault than Creeds. I understand Richard Childress and Andy Petree have every right to be upset, but the way they handled it was uncalled for. Sheldon Creed was racing for his life and that is what he is supposed to do. It is not his fault he is not managements choses one. I cant imagine any driver worth a crap that would go to RCR after this circus. POP POP may be down to putting Ty Dillon back in one of his junk cars
  20. Sheldon Creed did nothing wrong in the race at Martinsville and they threw him under the bus after the race. Now I can see how RCR will never be on the level of Hendrick, Gibbs or Penske.

    COTA

It would be great if they would build an asphalt short track there on the grounds of COTA. Centrally located in Texas

    COTA

What an event. 400,000 people strong man and I spotted the Young Man Rodney. The Paddock suite passes were sold out man at $7500 each. The money is flowing man. Thanks to Red McCombs and Bobby Epstein for building Tavo's dream track.
  23. A gimmick that got old fast, just like the race at the LA Coliseum.
  24. Same thing when I go to a concert, fishing, hunting, NBA game, NFL game, MLB game, the Zoo, Bar, Restaurants, etc.
  25. What a weekend of racing at Kansas. They have really improved the racing at the 1 1/2 mile tracks. I hope they can do something in turn 1 and 2 at Texas to make that better so people will get off of the couch and go to the track and watch the race.
