Mr John I'm still onboard with your idea of the older pro stock class. We'll see. Might have to bring out the old nova. Not as straight as it was , but still very competitive on dirt.

No Worries My Racing Brother....  Simple,  Just Bring it to Me & Leave it with Me a while,  I'll get it Straightened Out and Have it Looking Sharpe like an "Asphalt Race Car Should...",  Very, Very Glad to Help with a Project Like that.   Might need to bring Me some fresh front Fenders and fresh Nose cover to start out with....   I'll provide the TLC.....

In the Meantime....   We as Racers Need to Support the New Promoter with a Pool of Street Stock Race Cars Ready to go.... And Also Promote the Idea of a Street Stock Class to Included into the New Program.....   It's going to take Us to Voice our want to Re-Turn a Pro-Stock Type of Stock Car Class racing again with the New Program.   That Former Stock Class was a Fan Favorite & a Racer Favorite Racing Class at HMP for Many Years....   A Stock Car Class is WANTED very Much by us Racers in this Area.   I would very much like to race again @ HMP....  But it would only be in a Stock Car V-8 type of racing class.

I have a Candidate Type of Street Stock type of Race Car that I have been working on for the past few years, and will be ready soon....   I have been planning on Selling it,   But if I could race it here locally .....   Then I would Keep it and Support HMP's Oval Program.

Ther are More that a Few of us Local Racers that would Support HMP with a Stock Car type of Class....

An Appeal:   RACERS - A STOCK CAR RACING CLASS IS VERY MUCH WANTED.....  PLEASE HELP VOICE or CONVEY OUR REQUEST IN THIS MATTER....

Scotty,   Try Not to Beat Up the Old Nova any more than it is,    If HMP does include a street stock class,  they will need cars ready to go so to speak....   But No Problem of getting it Cleaned Up & a little more Aero Dynamic some what better. Thanks for Chiming in Brother.

( Also,  I am still holding back those tires for you,  Talk to me about tires some time soon, Sir...., other wise I am going to trash them out....)

I hope it's something long-term (2-3 years). As someone that invested in the street stocks and pro trucks to see it essentially go away due to rule change after change and cars become dinosaurs it's hard to do it for the third time. Let's hope it something that provides a little stability to the guy trying to race and live out his dream by spending money that most in this inflated economy don't have. If this announcement caters to the modified and SLM teams, then I will be there to support their shows. I'm glad to see something positive from the pavement community and like you I will be watching next week to see the news.

Don't Leave Out the Last Minute Tire Brand Changes....  Rules Changes & Tire Brand Changes are all ways a Hit in the Racers Small Pocket Books Big Time....  I hope for the Best!!!!

  7. Well at least Jimmie got the 2022 Indy 500 Rookie Driver Award out of the deal....

Yep....   Seemed like Jimmie was down on power or dealing with an ill handling race car most of the race.   Then had some bad luck near the end.   What a shame.   I am pretty sure that he did learn a lot from this race that he can apply towards future Indy Racing indeed.

    Pease, Keep Trying Jimmie....

I hesitate to post here GCRS stuff here away from the Houston track because I assume nobody cares so thanks for asking. With pavement there, big money races are near every week. It's like dirt here there are tracks everywhere. The good part is other than the Modified race they were all really good I have always said I'd rather see a great 8-10 car race than a 24-30 snooze fest. For me watching real Pure Stocks and Sportsman with steel bodies going side by side on a big half mile is like being a kid again so do the Outlaws those cars look like 80's Late Models.

We (GCRS) have to get through these stupid fuel prices Pensacola and Mobile have the same issue one strong class, MIS~ Trucks/Pensacola~ Outlaws. Wheelman Sportsman were removed due to the afore mentioned fuel and supply issues too many not ready. Catch these highlights from Racing America of the Outlaws.

Rodney......   Trust Me Please !!!!   (WE DO CARE !!!!)  Please POST all of the GCRS Info You Possibly can,  from every GCRS related racing event regardless in Alabama or Houston.   Simply Because there is a "WHOLE LOT" of Texas Racers that compete at & support Both Locations.   Most Especially if Greg Davidson & or Robert Barker,  Plus the other Texas Based Racers that support GCRS as well.   The Texas Delegation of Dedicated of Racers are Key Supporters of GCRS no matter where they race.    Information is Key in this matter.  Not everybody knows how to look up race results on Racing America.com, Speedhive.com, or Racemonitor.com....   Some of us Rely on LSSZ for our Texas Racers info.....   please understand.... Also some racers Don't do the Face Book Thing" or can catch your shows on Racing America as well.  "Please keep Posting GCRS Related Info to us in a Timely manor right here on LSSZ."   Also Personal Commentary on GCRS Info go's a long way as well.    For example: there is a Huge Following of Greg Davidson & or Robert Barker that go's a long time back !!!  News on how the "Texas Racers" do is important to us.....

Thank You very much for what you do,  Great Job.....

I said a month ago he would win the "500". That would be really good Indy. He's starting in a great row with great teammates it will be interesting to watch how the race progresses. This race will be BY FAR the best of the day.

Yah....   Let's keep our fingers Crossed Rodney for sure.   But however on the other hand, he is going up against some pretty Seasoned Indy 500 "Ringers" with no doubt.  If Jimmie just stays at it for a few more years with a Good Team & Good Rides.....   He can do it.....   Maybe with just a few more 500's under his belt if not this time.   It is My wishes that he can REALLY Make History as a "Seven Time Nascar Champ"  w/ an INDY 500 Trophy to add to his personal X-Large Trophy Room w/ his Daytona 500 Trophy, His Martinsville Grand Father Clock's, His TMS Texas 500 Six Shooter Pistols, among many, many, many Other Trophies and such......

Jimmie is a "Winner" in my books.....

  11. Well,  Former Nascar Stand - Out - Jimmie Johnson #48 is set to Race in the Indy 500 this Weekend ....   Jimmie will try to make His Mark in the History Books by Trying to be the possible (Third) Racer in History to Win the Indy 500 and the Daytona 500 in His Racing Career.....   Texas's A.J. Foyt 1972 Daytona 500 Win w/ Four Indy 500 wins, & Mario Andretti 1967 Daytona 500 win & the 1969 Indy 500 win are the only "TWO" racers that have completed that Feat dating way back to the late 1960's & early 70's

    Good Luck Jimmie !!!!
