    Yes I have Talked to Owen last year.   And he did say:  Yah Bring it out here, We will let you race!!!   But I said: but the Bootlegger rules clearly state: NO AFTER MARKET PLASTIC OR FIBER GLASS BODY PANELS!!!!  He said Yah Just bring it out and we let you race as it is !!!!   I am Sorry: But that is like Tortes & The Hare Racing around the track just to get some sort of cars running on the track to Benefit them.....

    I am Sorry Mike....   I am a Racing Class PUREST = Street Stocks under their rules race together for a championship separately, & The Factory Stocks race for their Championship for them self's Separately....

    All of the other Race Classes Don't Do that Race Together Stuff.

    Yes,  I understand that they are trying to grow those classes.   To me, That is No Way to Run A Railroad.....    Promoters are for Promoters, I,ve been around the block a few times with them from way back.....   And that is a Fact....

    Every Track in America has a Street Stock Class except my Local Track,  Street Stocks are American as Apple Pie.....

    I race with Compatible Street Stocks, or I don't Race....    And Yes I'll Stop Bitching about it too....

  2. It's looking like the Ledgen's & Legacy's are the Best Strength of Car Counts for Sure.  Nick's Right,  The Pro-Trucks use to be the Car Count Leader for very long time....

    Come on Racers,  Try to get those Cars & Trucks out to the track & Support the Last Paved Track in this Part of the Country.

    I would my self....   But I have an Classic style Asphalt Street Stock......   Unfortunately it won't fit to the Current Rules Direction of the HMP Stock Cars / Factory Stock.   I have been hoping to get it sold to a young HMP racer.  But it Won't fit the Stock Car Rules!!!!

    I seen Greg & his Wife at a Luby's eating lunch here in S/E Houston on Thursday May 2nd.   Greg didn't know me from back in the days that we Both Raced @ Meyer Speedway & SAS a long time ago.  Greg sure was Enjoying his lunch that day @ the Luby's,  He was eating like a Field Hand.....

    Prayers & Best Wishes Indeed to this GREAT TEXAS RACING LEGEND.... & Every One's Best Friend....

  4. Well, Just After Two Regular Season Races This Year All Ready....

    It Seems that there is Change on the Horizon All Ready for one of HMP's Class Divisions......

    The Bootlegger Division & Factory Stock Division looks like Have Been Combined & Re-Named..... To the "HMP Stock Cars".....

    Hummm!!!

  5. As far as I can Tell...   The Factory Stocks & Bootleggers Raced Thier "Respective Features" Together & were Scored Separately!!!!

    I believe the Bootleggers were*

    *  #45 Patrick Villareal, # 7 Russell Vickery, #8 Michael Teague,  #50 Richard Fitch DNS.

    Factory Stocks were*

    *  #21 Robert Mayberry, #179 Grant Whitney jr.

    Again, As far as I can Tell.... (The Results  info is sort of Vague.... Due to Different  Transponder Issues) 

  6. That Criss-Cross Track Swerve Blocking Techniques can be a Little Bit Tricky some times as in this case, Coming to the line.....  = No Body is Lifting !!!!   Heartbreaking, I know....

  9. Yah....  I raced at Hwy-16 Raceway some in 1980 & 1981 after Meyer Speedway Closed in 1979 in Houston.   I loved racing there for sure.  Great Racers to race with.

    The San Antonio area Does Need a real Good Modern Paved Oval Track For sure.....

    I guess that is all but a Pipe Dream at best now.....

    Hwy-16 / SAS was good to me for sure......  I loved that Place.....

  10. Well the Finish of the Rain Delayed Daytona 500 was Pretty Dramatic at Best !!!!  Some times the "Bump & Run" works pretty good,  But also it Go's Real Badly like in this case...

    Congratulations to William Byron indeed....
