I don't have a dog in this hunt but in my opinion there is too much not letting go. We are racing guys, stuff is going to happen. Forget about it and focus on your next race, with that being said I mean focus on racing and not gettin back at the guy that caused you problems the week before.

Thanks B Rocket for the set up on the car, it was faster than it's ever been at THR. Congrats to Jason Stanley on his win, the kid can flat out drive the wheels off anything.

I have deleted several posts in this thread. If anyone has a problem with a driver they should take it up with that driver and not use Texas Speed Zone as their personal bitch board.

Thanks.

Nick

Wanna say good run to Levi Krauss. First year in a superstock, he's definintely showing some real talent running right there nose to tail with some guys that have been doing it for a while. Keep it up, we were pullin for ya. Good job to the rest of the superstock guys too, as usual put on a damn good race up front, running close and never even touching. Makes me wish we wouldn't have sold our car.

This is when i really start to dislike racing. These guys get to taking this "hobby" too seriously. I dont want your job Nick, But you do a damn good job at it.

Isnt adding thunders to the car count just slightly cheating asa and the whole idea of a real national champion, kinda like barry bonds motorsports :D

Everbody will have their own opinion. We didn't ask for it.

Who knows what the other tracks are doing for their points leaders?? Since we happen to be leading the points at THR right now, I'll say this - we appreciate the track and everybody else who is helping out for their efforts. We just try to take it week by week.

Isnt adding thunders to the car count just slightly cheating asa and the whole idea of a real national champion,

maybe, but Kyle is far fom the only track doing it. And the concept is not new. Quite a number of national and regional NASCAR Weekly Series Championships were won with the same thinking as Kyle.

We all remember the second team cars that were in the field, and would run a lap or two before pulling off.

We will never know for sure, but had that not happened; it may have been nearly impossible to win the series from only one track, such as Brandon Bendele did, when all the other competitors had two or more tracks.

Larry Phillips of Missouri was a master of using car counts to his advantage. A few years back, they had 4 asphalt tracks within 3 or so hours of each other. 2 ran friday, and 2 saturday. he sent cars to both tracks on a respective night, then raced at the one that would benefit him the most.

So maybe it is cheating ASA a little, but until ASA assures that every other track out there is playing "by the rules, so to speak," I see nothing wrong with Kyle trying to help one of it's own. Especially Cary and Family.

I do believe the #50 fits in all Super stock rules, Gladly will tech if my number was drawn in the super stock race. When i roll off.. i am a super stock the way i see it.. :D:rolleyes:B)

Iagree with you 100% , and am quite sure THR isn't the only track doing this for one of there own.

GOOD LUCK Cary & Crew . :D

Here are experts from the ASA rules to win the National Championship:

"The first is the finishing position in feature races. There is a descending

points system from first to 25th place."

"The second criterion is the size of the feature field. The base, or "full

field," is set at 20 cars. The formula penalizes fields of less than 20 by

dropping a five percent factor for each car less than that. Inversely,

fields greater than 20 will have a multiplier added to account for the

greater challenge of beating out more competitors."

"Season length is calculated in a similar fashion. A "full season" is set at

14 events, and drivers competing in less are penalized by dividing the

number of races competed in by 14. All races count towards the ASA Short

Track National Championship, so drivers are encouraged to run at least 14

events this year, and more if possible to help accumulate the maximum

points."

"The fourth factor, and the one that will make the single biggest difference,

is the starting versus finishing position. Simply put, the more cars passed

in a feature race, the more points scored. This is how the tracks which

invert the feature event are factored in."

"The final criteria in the formula accounts for feature wins. Admittedly,

only a fraction of the wins versus the number of races competed in will be

added to the point total, but it will still reward the drivers who end up in

victory lane."

A Thunder Stock is actually a legal Super Stock by rule book and I applaud the Thunder Stock guys for doing it. To me its nothing but racers standing behind one another and the Track.

I've been looking for that for weeks. Where did you find this Aaron?

I remember when Henry Witt was winning the IMCA Championship all the time and he would race two tracks the same night he would have a car at bellmead and a car at stephenville and bellmead would run their features first and stephenville last so he could make both races. Then when IMCA stepped in and said you could only claim one race a night the tracks in the area went to running friday, sat, sun to help him out. I remember one night in stephenville they actually held the races up waiting on him to get there and they got there got in the car and finished second or first. So its not an uncommon practice I think it is neat that the teams are doing what they are doing to help the local racer.

they not only help their fellow racer, but they also help the track out. the track needs all of the help we can give them, so if it means a few extra thunder stocks starting the super stock feature, so be it. whatever it takes to make sure thunder hill will be around for many more years of racing. good luck termite.
