w2racing
If a SAS roadrunner car wants to run at your track, what tire would they need to run? ( Just for 1 night ) What gear is a good choice also for your track? Any info would be great.
top_shelf_12
I've heard they're making everyone run street tires (don't know which ones are suggested) and I don't know about the gearing either.
cRt racing
well when i ran hobby stocks i ran 355 gears in the rear end with a 175 second gear transmission i would run about 6800 rpms
Rookie49
I'd say that 6800 is a lot of rpm for a legal RR motor.
cRt racing
well rookie thats about what i turned but i dont know what the roadrunners are alowed to do but all i had was 30 over flat tops ballanced and hardened rod bolts i was low 16 at ccms when we put racing tires on it got it down to 15.
Rookie49
My understanding of the rules, unless they changed them was that about a 5500 or so motor was about all you could realistically build with the head, cam and valve limitations. Course I'm sure there's somebody out there running an old charger/sportsman motor that has been detuned and can pull that kind of rpm
wrangler
and who has one of those motors or who do you think has one. i have an idea who has one!
