rebelracewriter Posted September 25, 2005 Report Share Posted September 25, 2005 I.M.C.A. Southern SportMod Nationals at HOT  ELM MOTT—The inaugural I.M.C.A. Southern SportMod Nationals were held Friday night at the Heart O' Texas Speedway. Fifty-nine racers from across the state, some evacuating from Hurricane Rita, competed in the final point race of the season for the SportMod class. Larry Killian from Greenville took home the top prize. Local favorite Keith White from Academy finished in second place, and Kevin Sustaire from Kaufman was third.  Brandon Stewart from Bruceville claimed first place in the I.M.C.A. SportMod Race of Champions. Keith White also took second place in this race followed by Sam Sovey from Waco.  Season champions were determined in all non-I.M.C.A. sanctioned classes.  Street stock champ for 2005 is Doug Andrews of Waco. Logan Saulters from Bellmead earned the pure stock title for this season. Michael Haisler from Elm Mott won the cruiser championship, and Chandler Simons from Robinson reigns as the junior mini stock champ for 2005.  The final event of the 2005 season will be the two day Fall Classic on Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29. All classes will be competing along with a visit from the mini stock class. More details are available at www.heartotexspeedway.com  Coming Events FALL CLASSIC --October 28-29 October 27 Thursday 6:00 P.M.
