latemodel4
Does anyone know if you can get a temporary nascar liscense so we can get into the pits for this race? Krissy
Jason
Those TSRS drivers that ran the SAS LM portion of the Twin 50's should have a NASCAR license anyways....
uhcougs
Different kinna liscenes though... If you have a weekly lisc. thats all its good for. Weekly show. Regional Series will get you that series and below. A Grand National Lisc. will get you that and everything NASCAR sanctioned and below. A Touring lisc. (big three) will get you NNC, NBS, and NCTS and everything below. the big three are very specific. Like if you have a NCTS credential it may or may not get you in the NNC garage. It just depends. atleast thats the way I understand it. So just because you have the Dodge Weekly lisc. does not mean you can use it to get in for the grand national event. I'm sure someone of actual track status will chime in and answer it. I'm just going off of what I've heard from several people that I know that work for NASCAR. latemodel4
Ok let me specify a bit more. My friend did not renew his liscense 2004 this year but he wants to go into the pits for this race. So he is just wanting to purchase a one time liscense for this weekend. Mary Ann announced in an earlier post in this thread that a NASCAR weekly license would allow the license holder to purchase a pit pass for this event. tsrsfan
I guess the question is what Nascar license do you need? Any weekly, touring or do you need a BGN series or higher?
ProTree
sounds like it would be a lot simpler to just sit in the grandstands, enjoy some music, all the entertainment, and watch a good race and let the nascar west guys have the pits to themselves, pretty sure the pits are going to be crowded enough as it is-my .

latemodel4
I have to agree with y'all, but he is wanting to go to the pits. I guess it really wouldn't matter which liscense it would need to be. Just one that he can get for the weekend to get him in.

tqj3
Texas Thunder 200 entry- Go to RacingWest.com (www.racingwest.com). NASCAR usually sets the limit for number of starters at a track, I think. Expect 20 or 22 at most will be allowed to start at Thunder Hill... Truck99
Straight pipe's......hmm These cars actually are muffled, but not by much. They've got a spin-tech system built into the boom-tube exhaust, but the exit is still cup-style under the passenger door.

fast18
I caught a couple of different clips on news 8 (think they were running them every hour) and also a local station where the sportsreporter got a ride around the track. This can only be good for Texas short track racing.
