Day Sunday Series at Heart O’ Texas rained out

WACO, Texas (June 8) – For the second time in as many weeks, the Day Motor

Sports Texas Super Sunday Series was rained out.

As was the case June 1 at Lubbock Motor Speedway, the scheduled June 8 date

for I.M.C.A. Sunoco Modifieds and Stock Cars at Heart O’ Texas Speedway was lost

to wet weather.

Inclement weather canceled three of the first eight events. Standings were

to have been determined by drivers’ eight best outings, so all points earned at

the three remaining races will be used to determine final series standings.

Completing the schedule are races June 22 at Kennedale Speedway Park, July 6

at Cardinal Motor Speedway in Eunice, N.M., and July 20 at Grayson County

Speedway in Bells.

Henry Witt Jr. of Waco is the Modified points leader and Kevin Sustaire of

Emory tops the Stock Car point chart.

The Modified series champion earns $2,000, the Stock Car champ $1,000.
