Sames Ford Back to School Bash

The Race Ranch roars back into action with the annual Sames Ford Back to School Bash. In addition to the local classes of Emod, Pure Stocks, Factory Stocks, Limited Modified and Micro Mod, the American Crate Late Model, Now 600 and Winged Restrictor are also on the bill. Hot laps underway now followed by Late Model qualifying. 

All Results are Unofficial and commentary is based on my observations from the stands and I have no contact with track officials during the event. I'm just happy to be here tonight after my wild ride Monday afternoon. But hope these guys and gals don't replicate my adventures and put on a good show staying on all 4 tires.

Hard hit as Whiteaker gets turned from the right rear, Fanning with a hard hit and many others spinning to avoid. Complete restart with the remaining cars.

Almost another pileup but avoided disaster as Calhoun stopped in turn 4. Looks like 1 lap complete, Titzman, Edmond, Waddups, Witzsche and Johnson top 5 early.

Titzman leads the way on the restart  but another caution as Lopez and Johnson spin in 1, Johnson also gets collected by York. Titzman, Edmond, Waddups, Preston and Witzsche top 5 on the track under yellow.

Finally running a few clean and green laps and Edmond takes the lead on the high side exiting 4, Preston up to 3rd around Waddups. Voelschow up into the top 5 as we near the half way mark.

Preston loses power and comes to a stop in 2 relinquishing 3rd. Edmond, Titzman, Waddups, Voelschow and Sheffield top 5 with 12 complete.

Dear looked like he was shot out of cannon out of 2 to take early control had a good lead but Riojas spins in 2 to avoid Van Blarcum. No one to rear so it'll be Dear, Van Blarcum,  Riojas, King and Villareal on restart.

This will be an interesting call as Van Blarcum and Riojas get together and simultaneously spin in 3. Van Blarcum to the back, Riojas trying to get a tire changed.  Dear, Villareal,  Walters, King and Barber top 5 early.
