Outlaw 34

Tonight is a night I had circled on my calendar since the schedule was released, the Outlaw 34 Memorial race honoring Greg Carlucci Sr. This is a very personal night for myself and many others. Growing up, the Carlucci's lived on the next block and we formed friendships that have lasted even today. Sr. epitomized the Outlaw as he was a force on the track. It's been a pleasure watching Sr then Jr and now Ryan carry the Carlucci family tradition in racing. Owen has put up over $5000 in purse money for Factory Stock tonight and between Owen and Greg Jr, around $3800 additional purse and prizes. Greg Jr will be driving tonight thanks to Lawrence Mikulencak. 

Also racing tonight will be the DAM Services IMCA Modified, AOC Auto Parts EMod, Top Hat Micro Mod, Double J Jerky Limited Mod and Pro Line Pure Stocks. 

I need to thank ODS for putting together a very clean looking event shirt. All Results are Unofficial and commentary is based on my observations from the stands and I have no contact with track officials during the event.

Leonard takes early lead, L. Mikulencak holding on to second but yellow out as Davenport gets stuck on the infield tire in 4. Leonard, L. Mikulencak, Maupin, Liese and Duke top 5 early.

Leonard with another great start but will be negated as Liese brings out a caution for a mini lap in turn 2. Leonard, L. Mikulencak, Maupin, Whitmire and M. Mikulencak top 5 with just 1 complete.

Leonard looked like he was shot out of a rocket, L. Mikulencak holding off Whitmire, Maupin and M. Mikulencak. Leonard is flying already has a straightaway lead,  Whitmire now second. Davenport spins in 4 bringing out a caution.

Leonard has company now as he and Whitmire pull away a bit, Maupin trying to take 3rd from L. Mikulencak. Halfway through.

Whitmire gets under Leonard but Leonard too strong holds the lead. Maupin trying to reel them in.

Dear with a good start but caution will come out as Riojas spins in front of the field but luckily avoids any contact. Dear, Mikulencak, Walters, Van Blarcum,  and Villareal top 5 early.

Great 3 car battle for 3rd with Van Blarcum, Villareal and Walters. Mikulencak slowly reeling in Dear. Villareal and Van Blarcum still battling for 3rd. Mikulencak has caught Dear halfway mark.

Mikulencak under Dear but can't get around. Van Blarcum finally secures 3rd after a long battle with Villareal, 5 to go

Late caution for Wilcox and Wyman spinning in 2. A lot of smoke under the hood for Wilcox, his night probably over. Dear, Mikulencak, Van Blarcum, Villareal and Walters the top 5 showing with about 3 to go.
